Update 1.2.2

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello strategists![/p][p]Since I was bored over Christmas, I'm bringing you a new update earlier than planned! ;)[/p][p]The most noticeable addition is the new Imjin War map (is part of the Japanese DLC), which takes us back to 1592, to the height of the conflict on the Korean peninsula. The AI in combat has also been improved, and the update brings a dozen other improvements and fixes many minor and major bugs (such as the non-functional Builder and Veteran traits).[/p][p]I have a lot of work in January, so the next update will probably be later in February. I want to return to Europe and try to make a local map or conflict. If you have any ideas on where the existing factions could be used, let me know![/p][p]I would also welcome help with proofreading, especially with Chinese, which apparently has a lot of errors. If anyone wants to help me, I would be very grateful![/p][p]
What's new in the update:[/p]
  • [p]New scenario in Japan DLC - Imjin War.[/p]
  • [p]Automatic province building management is now available in provinces - provinces automatically construct buildings. This can be enabled in the province panel. Buildings are constructed according to the preferred type and if there are sufficient resources.[/p]
  • [p]At the start of the scenario, you can set that only 50% of the provinces on the map need to be captured to win.[/p]
  • [p]Increased the number of Japanese units with rifles and added smoke after they fire.[/p]
  • [p]Improved combat and fixed a bug where archers rushed into battle without shooting during their initial attack.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed missing shields for some units.[/p]
  • [p]Taltos now replenish arrows and projectiles as described in their description.[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to disable increasing recruitment and maintenance costs for military units over time in Options.[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to disable decreasing land efficiency based on size and time in Options.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the route between the provinces of Arhus and Copenhagen on the large map of Europe at War. It will work correctly after updating in a new game.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the Veteran and Builder traits of the advisors. Builder reduces the cost of buildings by 10%, Veteran increases the morale and endurance of soldiers on the battlefield by 20%.[/p]
  • [p]And about a dozen other adjustments and corrections.
    [/p]
[p]Enjoy the new update and thanks for your support![/p][p] Pavel, Rake in Grass.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Update 1.2.1 (1)

Changes in this small update 1.2.1 (1):

  • Fixed a specific crash after loading a savefile.
  • After clicking on the random event icon in the lower left corner of the screen, the camera moves to the location of the event, but the camera zoom does not change.
  • Reduced chance of death for governors, ministers, and the queen.

Update 1.2.1

[p][/p][p]Hello friends![/p][p]Right after the Japanese DLC was released, I made a few adjustments to the gameplay and fixed a few minor issues that you reported to me.[/p][p]I added two clans to the Japan map. One of them had already ceased to exist at the time of the DLC, and the other's glory had faded, but you asked for them. But more factions means more fun. I hope :)[/p][p]You can also find basic instructions on how to mod the game on Steam.[/p][p]Enjoy the game![/p][p]Thanks,[/p][p] Pavel, Rake in Grass.[/p][p][/p]

Bellfortis - The Battle for Japan

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hi friends!

The DLC from Japan for our indie strategy game Bellfortis is out! The DLC takes you back to the 16th century, when the struggle to unify Japan was at its peak. Politics, power, army building, battles. All in one package!

The DLC includes two new maps of Japan, where you can play as one of up to 10 factions, including eight Japanese clans, the Joseon Dynasty, and the Ming Dynasty.[/p][p]
Bellfortis is a little grand strategy game set in the Middle Ages, created by a big fan of games such as Total War, Defender of the Crown, Centurion, and others. Unlike AAA games, it has faster gameplay and more arcade-style battles.

Update 1.2.0

Hello! We are pleased to announce the release of update 1.2.0. This update includes support for DLC and several improvements:

  • DLC support and the option to purchase DLC from Japan.
  • Partial modding support (needs to be explained later :).
  • More faction buttons added to the diplomacy window (there were 16, but on some maps there are 19, so not all factions were visible).
  • Allies can no longer send requests to become allies.
  • Fixed historical names of some provinces in Europe.
  • Fixed incorrect camera position upon completion of Quick Battle.
  • Cheats added to the console: cheat_gold (adds 10,000 gold), cheat_resources (adds 10,000 to gold, food, building resources, technology, and prestige) and cheat_espionage 1/0 (enables espionage). WARNING! If you use a cheat, stat data will no longer be sent to Steam, so the current game will not affect achievements, for example!

The DLC from Japan is not part of the game, but will be available as a paid update. I decided to do this because the game is far from recouping the costs invested in it, but even so, I set the price of the DLC at a decent $4.99 or €4.99. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for supporting our small team!
