Patch 0.02



[h2]New Features:[/h2]

  • The game has been updated to a newer version of the Unity engine. According to player feedback, there were occasional issues with picking up items and other bugs. It turned out that the version of Unity on which the game was originally developed behaved incorrectly in certain situations. Despite all my fixes, the bug preventing item pickup continued to appear for some players. Special thanks to the user "Uncle Pasha," who provided a game save that helped identify what exactly was happening. After three days of testing, a solution was found—updating to a newer version of the Unity engine. After over 15 hours of testing, the game showed stable performance, and some levels saw a 15-20% improvement in performance.


[h2]Changes and Improvements:[/h2]

  • Improved physics accuracy.
  • Enhanced sound quality. On the old version of the engine, sound would occasionally stutter. This has now been fixed.
  • Improved overall game performance.
  • Fixed a bug where the damage effect wouldn't stop after exiting toxic water via teleport.
  • Other minor fixes and improvements.

  • A new quest has been added at the "Free Stalkers" base — find the "Freedom" stash. The quest can be obtained through the storyline after you receive the mission to clear the "Outpost."


[h2]Changes and Improvements:[/h2]

  • The leaderboard has been reset. You can update your data in the leaderboard as always by selling stashes at the Black Market.
  • Lighting has been changed in the "Industrial Zone" location.
  • The volume of background music in the "Swamp" location has been slightly reduced.
  • The volume of background music in the "Outpost" location has been slightly reduced.
  • Monsters of the Dark class, "capable of using protective camouflage," now have greater resistance to headshots. Not every weapon can kill them with a single shot anymore.
  • The save system has been refined.
  • The translation of one of the quests into English has been corrected, as it was previously in German.

  • Added phosphorescent sights to the HMG machine gun and the Remington 870 rifle, which help you aim in the dark.

  • Slightly reworked the sights on the "AKS-74, AK-74, Saiga-9, VSK-94, AS Val, Makarov Pistol, PL-14, Night Hawk, Desert Eagle". The closer sight is now green, and the distant sight is red.
  • Minor fixes and improvements on some levels.
  • Fixed an issue that, in certain cases after the player’s death and loading a save, caused a rare error where the backpack was empty. Previously, this bug could be bypassed by fully closing the game, restarting it, and loading the desired save. Now, this should no longer happen.

  • Fixed the issue with items disappearing at the "Free Stalkers" base. Finally managed to catch and fix this bug.
  • Based on your feedback, the player respawn point at the "Free Stalkers" base has been moved closer to the shelter.

  • By your request, auto-save has been added. The game will now automatically save at the start of each location when transitioning between areas.
  • A stash location "Cursed Tunnel" has been added. You can only open it if you find the PDA with coordinates. There is only one such PDA, which can be obtained through a quest. This location is the only way to reach the "Junkyard," which is currently closed.
  • A stash location "Forgotten Warehouse" has been added. You can only open it if you find the PDA with coordinates. There are two such PDAs on quest maps.
  • A stash location "Shelter 145" has been added. You can only open it if you find the PDA with coordinates. There are two such PDAs on quest maps.

  • Improved the footstep sound system.
  • Improved the backpack system: you mentioned that it was sometimes difficult to place it behind your back. This has been fixed.
  • Improved backpack grabbing system: you mentioned that it was sometimes difficult to grab it. This has been fixed.
  • Improved the belt: the belt slots are now more visible. It’s easier to grab bolts, PDAs, and the pistol.
  • Improved PDA to prevent accidental presses on the belt.
  • Some textures have been enhanced.
  • Fixed the display of one of the anomalies on the "Pripyat" level.
  • Global optimization has been done across all levels, especially on "Pripyat" and "Outpost."
  • Physics have been added to one of the objects in the raid location "Abandoned Village." It was previously difficult to climb to the top of the church because of it.
  • Radiation sound volume has been reduced in the "Swamp" location when wearing a gas mask.
  • Radiation sound volume has been reduced in the "Pripyat" location when wearing a gas mask.
  • Fixed an issue with ghost stalkers after adding the teleport. They were unable to find the player.
