Demo Patch #1 Now Live!

[/p][p]Thanks so much to everyone who's played the demo, especially those of you who have left reviews![/p][p]Leaving a positive review for the demo (and the game, on launch!) is the #1 thing you can do to help the game![/p][h2][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Demo Patch #1[/h2][p]Your feedback has been brilliant and very much appreciated, and the first patch is now live which incorporates some of your suggestions and requests! [/p][p]I've also included some of the hotfixes that already went live yesterday, for visibility.[/p][h3]Dev Notes and Background:[/h3][p]The goal of this patch was to make the early game feel a bit less sluggish - in the full game, you very quickly gain Upgrades and other methods of increasing your movement speed, inventory carry capacity, gravity tether speed, etc. but because these aren't accessible in the demo, it can feel a bit slow to begin with![/p][p]Hopefully these changes will make the default experience that little bit less frustrating![/p][p]As a reminder, you can also adjust the Game Modifiers in the settings menu at any time to tweak your carry weight and standard oxygen level! Play your way :)[/p][h3]Improvements and Balancing:[/h3]- [p]Increased Maeve's run speed by 10%.[/p]
- [p]Tip: Keeping your Energy stat high will increase your movement speed further, by up to 15%![/p]
- [p]Increased Maeve's jump height by 20%.[/p]
- [p]Greatly decreased the weight of early game resources such as Building Materials, Scrap, Regolith and Sandstone.[/p]
- [p]Tip: Keeping your Nutrition stat maintained will increase your carry weight further, by up to 15%![/p]
- [p]More than doubled the speed of Roland's Gravity Tethers.[/p]
- [p]Added support for rebinding Camera Zoom and Hotbar Scroll controls using the mouse scroll wheel.[/p]
- [p]Added objective strikethrough for various early game secondary tasks.[/p]
- [p]Fixed inability to stack the makeshift crate.[/p]
- [p]Fixed Inverting Y Axis setting also Inverting X Axis.[/p]
- [p]Added more safeguards to avoid the potential for physics collision deaths.[/p]
- [p]Fixed outcrops respawning if player passed out on surface after destroying them, without transitioning level.[/p]
