• Mate ability class added! You can now enhance Mate ability stats and create more unique builds. (Since this is a new ability class, we need bug reports!) More Mates will be added in future updates.
  
• Minimap icons for Mates have been added. Now you can track them more easily on the map.
  

[h3]Changes[/h3]

• Enemy walking animations have been improved. Their movement is now smoother and more natural.
  

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed an issue where items in inventory tabs overlapped across pages.
  
• Fixed an issue where the Arcane Codex shrine spawned more books than intended.
  
• Enemies that weren’t dealing damage now function properly!

Beyond regular patch notes, we want to share the new features and mechanics currently in development. We actively consider demo feedback and adjust our updates accordingly. Alongside these updates, we are also introducing new mechanics that align with our development roadmap.

And now, in the very first episode of our devlog, let’s dive into Mates!

[h3]What Are Mates?[/h3]

In the Ketz universe, each Galactic Leader's society has unique developments and specializations. For example, the Rax faction excels in speed and electrical energy, while other factions focus on completely different strengths.

Throughout their daily lives—whether in war, commerce, or exploration—these societies rely on trusted companions.

Now, Galactic Leaders are offering these powerful allies to aid in the battle against Ketzeror’s rise, changing the course of war!


Mates Enter the Mystimech Class!

Mates are introduced as a new class of mystimechs and come in many different forms, such as:

• A mystical dragon from a nature planet
  
• A floating orb infused with pure magic
  
• A high-tech combat drone
  
• Mysterious creatures from unknown realms
  

With these powerful companions, you can expand your ability combinations and create Mate-focused builds to enhance your combat potential.

New Features with Mates
The addition of Mates brings more strategic depth and combat power to your character. You can now specialize your build using Mate-focused stats:

• Mate Damage
  
• Mate Critical Chance
  
• Mate Critical Damage
  
• Mate Attack Speed
  
• Mate Cooldown
  

However, since Mates are extremely valuable to Galactic Leaders, you can only summon a limited number of them per run.
But don’t worry! With the right items, you can increase this limit and complete a run with even more Mates by your side.


[h3]Meet the Mates![/h3]
Each Mate has unique abilities and combat mechanics. Here are a few of them:

Ember Drone

• A drone infused with the fiery powers of the Solar planet.
  
• Burns enemies from a distance without needing to engage directly.
  

Toxic Trail

• A loyal dragon companion of Lady Virelia.
  
• Due to overeating, it vomits toxic waste, poisoning nearby enemies.
  

Ravenous Assault

• Cursed ravens from the planet Tenebris.
  
• Feared creatures trained in dark magic, causing chaos on the battlefield.
  

Massive Foresight

• A mystical orb infused with the secret magic of Tenebris.
  
• Binds to enemies and curses them, weakening their abilities.
  

Frostbite Assault

• A frozen companion that leaves a trail of ice, slowing and damaging enemies.
  

Bombardier Escort

• A bomb-carrying robot that never leaves Zenith Techlock’s side.
  Now, it fights alongside you!
  

Laser Sentinel

• A drone equipped with advanced laser weaponry, developed in Technotopia.
  
• Strikes fear with its devastating laser attacks!
