'THANKS, LIGHT.' Coming to PlayStation®5 and Steam this September!

[p][/p][p]Game Source Entertainment (GSE) is pleased to announce that THANKS, LIGHT., a 3D portal-like puzzle-platformer developed by South Korean indie studio Lightersgames, is scheduled for official release on PlayStation®5 and Steam in September 2026. The free demo version is now available on Steam, offering a first look at the mechanic in action, with wishlisting now open ahead of this year's launch. The game's central concept is a spatial manipulation of shadow and substance: players wield a flashlight to shift objects between 2D and 3D states, start your adventure by solving puzzles with your imaginations in the Liminal Space. [/p]

Positioned squarely alongside first-person puzzle-platformers like Portal, Superliminal, Viewfinder, and The Talos Principle, the game introduces a deceptively simple mechanical premise: Under illumination, a silhouette transforms into a tangible 3D object. When the light is absorbed, 3D objects are folded seamlessly back into a flat, two-dimensional form. There are no lengthy tutorials here. Instead, you must rely on observation and reasoning, approaching problems from different angles and experimenting with various possibilities to discover. Big rebuild today: new options, presentation, subtitles/localization—pretty much everything got touched. Please play and tell us what you think!

\[] Comfort Mode – tweaks aimed at reducing 3D motion sickness.
\[] Gamma slider – for anyone who felt the game was too bright.
\[] V-Sync toggle – reduce screen tearing.

\[] New subtitle system – improved sync & stability.
\[] Localization pass – KO/EN polished (more languages coming).
\[] Early levels tweaked – smoother flow & difficulty curve.

Check the new layout under ESC → Options.
Comfort Mode bundles settings that reduce camera shake/acceleration, etc. Adjust to taste.
Gamma, V-Sync, plus many graphics/audio/gameplay toggles added.

Story & Presentation
Cutscene timing, environmental reactions, and audio cues reworked to convey info more naturally.

Subtitles & Localization
New subtitle backend for better stability/readability.
Full pass on Korean/English (fixed mistranslations/garbling). More languages soon.

Level Tuning
Early demo sections got light guidance and clue adjustments to improve onboarding.

Audio
Large SFX library rework. Note: some volume sliders are still being fine-tuned—patch incoming.

[BUG] The Reset Buttons in Stages are NOT working well....

[p]Hello from Lightersgames,[/p][p]We’ve just discovered that the reset buttons in certain stages aren’t responding in the current demo build.[/p][p][/p][h3]Temporary workaround[/h3][p]Press ESC → Reset Stage in the pause menu to reload the stage and continue playing.[/p][p][/p][p]So... What happened?
We’re in the middle of overhauling our level-reset and save system, and some button logic wasn’t hooked into the new architecture. We honestly didn’t realize this would break those buttons—sorry about that! A quick hotfix isn’t possible until the system swap is finished.[/p][p][/p][h3]Planned fix[/h3][p]Once the new reset system is fully integrated we’ll do a sweep of every stage and push a patch in early July (exact date TBA).[/p][p]We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
