Resident Evil 4 looks fantastic with classic horror game fixed camera

We're very close now to the Resident Evil 4 Remake release date, and positively psyched to return to the Capcom horror game, and start blasting the heads off some Los Illuminados again. Though the 2005 Resident Evil 4 transformed the series into an over-the-shoulder, third-person shooter, originally it was meant to retain the fixed camera angles of the elder RE games - turns out the remake, once it's given a bit of a retro makeover, looks pretty fantastic as well.

Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer hides a worrying easter egg

If you've been with the series since 1996, you'll have noticed that Resident Evil has a nasty habit of killing your favourite supporting characters. I won't name names just yet, because I don't want to spoil anything, but Resident Evil 4 especially seems to take pleasure in making you really like someone, then unceremoniously bumping them off when you least expect. As we approach the Resident Evil 4 remake release date, and the return of both the Capcom horror game and Leon Kennedy, the latest Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer seems to be hiding a subtle, but very troubling, easter egg.

Resident Evil 4 remake launch date announced

The Resident Evil 4 remake release date is now official. Sony and Capcom revealed that the remake of Resident Evil 4 will launch March 24, 2023, and they showed off a first official look at the horror game's gameplay during Sony's State of Play.

The trailer was, as is typical of the Resident Evil series, oozing with atmosphere, and included shots of Leon Kennedy walking along a trail toward the game's village, as well as a shot from his ride on the train. The game has been completely rebuilt, and the brief shots of gameplay show off some of the new tech Capcom will be bringing to bear in the remake.

We'd heard rumours about a coming reveal for the Resident Evil 4 last year ahead of Gamescom, but it seems Capcom needed a bit more time to get all of las plagas positioned correctly for maximum scares.

I never thought I'd be actively thinking about Resident Evil 4 Remake hair settings. Yet, while trudging through the newly released Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw demo, I couldn't help but notice that Leon Kennedy's luscious locks look a little greasy in the revamp. In a bid to freshen up the federal agent's follicles, I went searching for a solution within the game's substantial settings menu, discovering both a virtual shampoo option and something about myself in the process.
