FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

Weather system
You will now be able to choose 4 different weathers before you start a stage, including rainy weather which will give you additional +30% of the stage finish bonus at the cost of more challenging driving experience.
Major engine sound improvements
Previously there was only one audio sample for each car's engine, which resulted in not-so-good sounding cars since both idle and redline sounds were the exact same with only difference being an increase in pitch and sound.

Each car now has multiple audio samples (idle, mid, redline, limiter) and the sound will now seamlessly blend between the tracks based on engine RPM and throttle input.

I haven't implemented this earlier because it's very time consuming to find an audio sample that's clear, relevant to car, and can be looped well enough to not sound weird. Because of this, it was always in the plans but always got postponed because some aspects of the game were the priority at the time.

While the sounds are taken from their real life versions, some of them had to be modified/stretched to achieve a good loop which, while still sounding decent, resulted in sounding quite different than their original versions. However, please note that this is not the final product and I'll keep improving the sounds over time.
New steering system and enhanced handling
Vehicle handling in games is one of the hardest things to perfect in a racing game, for example the game may feel sluggish yet too sensitive at the same time. Because of this, I always experimented with handling and steering, and made it gradually better.

In this update however, things have been changed.

The new steering system relies on various factors and achieves a linear movement to the target angle. For example, if your front tires have a steering angle of -30° and your target angle is +30°, your tires will turn faster than normal until you reach 0°, which results in a more responsive turn. Your maximum steering angle will also vary based on your car's speed.

I've also made some changes to the handling so the cars won't have that skate-on-ice feeling, though I still need feedback on this in case if it feels too "snappy" to some players. By either joining our Discord or creating a discussion post on Steam, you can contribute as well!
