Demo build update to 1.2.3

I have update the Demo to version 1.2.3

Some of the changes:

  • Hit chances have changed a bit. making the Demo a little harder.
  • The logger should also make more sense now.
An attack log looks like this now: Attacker Name: Total Attack(Attack Bonus + Random Roll of 1 to 100) Target AC.
If the total attack is equal or bigger than Target AC, there is a Hit, otherwise a miss.
  • There should be a shorter stall when entering a new level(because it captures the screen for a save screenshot).
  • Saves now have map names next to the name selected for the player.
  • New rendering pipelne.
  • A few small bug fixes.

I have switch the build rendering "pipeline" to a more advanced one provided by Unity. It should fix many light related artifacts that used to happen(like blinking lights), hopefully it didn't introduce new bugs.

I am still working mostly on the Demo improvements, because the Demo will be featured soon in festival and it's important that it will be in the best shape.

If you have any suggestions how to improve the way the game communicates what happens, improvements in UI, improvements in general, bugs you found, Please tell me in the discussions.

Demo Update 1.2.0, new trailer.

I have updated to Demo Build 1.2.0.

There are a few changes and bug fixes.

Creatures throwing projectiles cannot throw through walls now. But this is an over steer and they might not throw on other cases too, so I will fix it in the next update.

A big fix is reducing the Size on Disk of the Demo. From 13.3 GB it got down to 7.7 GB.

Some more action icons, a separate icon for ranged attack, and an icon for interaction that requires strength.

In full screen mode the windows mouse is now hidden.
There was also a full screen related bug that was fixed.

There is also a new trailer, tell me what you think in the discussions:

Demo Update, version 1.1.7

I have update the Demo today to version 1.1.7
A few important bug fixes.
Incorrect mana consumption bug was fixed.
Some quick action talents did not act quickly. Now they do.
A few other bugs as well.

* Improved Trade UI:
Trade UI was a bit scuffed, I improved it a lot.
Two new talents:
* Mirror Blink. You can quickly appear behind an enemy that is one tile ahead of you.
This allows you to get more time to heal, attack from behind, or evade the enemy.
* Fracture Blow, Clubbing weapon only. Permanently reduce the enemy's attack bonus. Can stack twice.
VR needs to be improved too.
Especially anti motion sickness options.
Head bobbing is a bit too much in VR, and I want to make it optional.

If you find any issues and bugs, please let me know in the discussion in Community Hub.

Demo update 1.1.5

Demo updated to version 1.1.5

New weapons, Falchion and Iron Staff.
More NPC voice acting.
Bug fixes.

In version 1.1.6 I want to add new talents.
I also want to add comfort/anti motion sickness features in VR.

Demo Update 1.1.4, and future update

Hello,

I have uploaded Demo update 1.1.4.

The majority of the update is letting you assign different keys to the shortcuts for Inventory, character, talents, mini map, logger and tutorial.

This will allow you to change the keys if you want to use them for movement as well.

I also made the controls menu a little more sensible? With tabs instead of a maze of buttons?

What do you think?
Update 1.1.5?
Here are the changes I am planning to do for the next update of the Demo:
1. "Loading" text in "Load Save".
2. More weapons, for magic and other builds.
3. More talents.
4. Improve talents audio and cues, like Rage.
5. Improve some ragdolls.
6. Improve annoying dialog triggers.
7. Fix missing voice acting for NPCs.
8. Add missing sounds of sheath weapons, and sounds of enemies.

What do you think?
Do you think other things are missing in the Demo?

Thanks,
Ofer
