The skies have darkened, and an eerie silence blankets the land. Something stirs beneath the surface — ancient, unknowable, and beckoning. As the veil between worlds grows thin, brave souls are now called to step into the unknown. Stygian: Outer Gods emerges from the void and enters Early Access, offering a glimpse into the madness that awaits.

The story doesn't end, it has only just begun. We are glad that we safely made it up to this part, which is largely thanks to you, our beloved community. Your participation in the Open Beta and your feedback were invaluable and we can't thank you enough for it. We would love to invite every single one of you to the Stygian: Outer Gods Discord where you can not only chat with other players, but also submit your videos, share your fan-art and, of course, report any bugs or issues you might encounter.

Throughout the Early Access period, we aim to add plenty of new content, such as additional locations, characters and quests, weapons, abilities, enemy types, and boss encounters. Besides that, we are planning to record more English voiceovers, and to expand localization to include French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese subtitles at full launch. If the development goes well, we might add the localizations even sooner, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

We will be monitoring the Steam forums regularly, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts here as well!

In order to salvage what was left of our sanity, we had to give in, there really was no other choice. Therefore let it be known that we are extending the duration of the Open Beta until April 8, 10AM PT / 7PM CEST. If you've felt the call as well, this is your last chance to journey to Kingsport, until the Early Access launch of Stygian: Outer Gods next week, on Monday, April 14.

To start your voyage, just head to the game's Steam store page and press "Request Access", which will make the "Stygian: Outer Gods Playtest" app appear in your Steam Library, ready to install and play.



We would also like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for participating in the Open Beta so far, the feedback has been invaluable to us. We are already working on tweaks and changes - while these may not all be implemented directly at launch, we will prepare an update shortly after. The Stygian: Outer Gods Open Beta - in the form of a Steam Playtest - is now LIVE and is available for everyone to play until Monday, April 7. If you've requested access before, you will now have the "Stygian: Outer Gods Playtest" app in your Steam Library, ready to install and play - otherwise click the "Request Access" button now and you will receive it instantly.



This extended demo offers much more content than the one you may have experienced during the recent Steam Next Fest. You can explore a large part of the town of Kingsport, complete a first major quest of the main story as well as smaller side quests and get to try out and enjoy many of the game's mechanics and features - from exploration, stealth and combat to crafting, improving your abilities, engaging in dialogues with a varied cast of characters, learning some of the game's lore, and much more! But please keep in mind that this is still not the final Early Access release version - there will be significantly more content available when the game launches on April 14, and we are continuously working on improvements, including performance.

And of course, we will be working on improving the game continuously throughout the Early Access period; but in order to make Stygian: Outer Gods the best game that it can be, we need to hear what you think, your suggestions, feedback and reports of any bugs or technical issues you encounter - that's why we have chosen to go the Early Access route after all. We will be reading all comments under this announcement as well as the Steam discussions, but the best way to get in touch is to join the official Discord server, where you can chat with us and other fans of the game directly!

Steel your mind, for soon you will have a chance to peek into the madness preceding the coming of the Black Day, as Stygian: Outer Gods will open the gates to Kingsport this Friday, April 4, and invite all souls brave enough to venture forth and explore the forsaken town. All who enter will have until April 7 to try and open the mystical lock on the gate to the foreboding Brasko family mansion.



In other words, the Open Beta, which features an extended demo of Stygian: Outer Gods, will be available this weekend, from April 4 - 7. It greatly expands on the introductory section which was available as a demo during the recent Steam Next Fest - you will be able to explore a large part of the town of Kingsport, complete a first major quest of the main story as well as smaller side quests and get to try out and enjoy many of the game's mechanics and features.

Since the Next Fest demo, we have been able to polish and tune a lot of small things. Tons of feedback came from our wonderful community, as well as content creators, which we are really thankful for!

The Beta will take the form of a Playtest here on Steam - we encourage everyone to sign up now, using the button on the game's page, so that you get an email notification once the beta goes live this Friday.
