Ahoy Seafarers!
Welcome back to our Meet the Fleet series! Last time, we explored the tug life with our dependable tugboat Bernhard. This time, we’re turning our attention to another essential member of Crescentport Logistics: Herbert, your very first cargo ferry.[/p][p]Let’s get to know the ship that’s ready to kick-start your freight career.
[/p]
🛳️ Meet Cargo Ferry Herbert
[p]
Herbert may be on the older side, but don’t let appearances fool you – this seasoned vessel is still going strong. Built for functionality, Herbert is a sturdy ferry designed to haul cargo efficiently and reliably.[/p][p]As part of the fleet of Crescentport Logistics, this small cargo ferry serves as the perfect entry point into the world of shipping containers. If you’re just getting started on your maritime career in Seafarer, Herbert is your trusty first step into the world of cargo transport. [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
🏗️ Built for the Load
[p] At 66 meters in length overall, Herbert is designed to carry a modest yet meaningful cargo load. Propelled by two powerful diesel engines, she will get your freight delivered to its destination. She might not be the fastest ship, but what she lacks in speed she more than makes up in dependability. [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
🚪 From Deck to Dry Storage
[p]
Step aboard and you’ll quickly discover that Herbert isn’t just a cargo box with an engine. Like all ships in Seafarer, she features a walkable interior – from the bridge to the engine room, and down into the crew cabins and dry storage.[/p][p]Explore the captain’s cabin, monitor the radar and sonar systems up at the bridge, or head below deck to check the engine room. [/p][p]
[/p]
📦 Stacked and Ready
[p]
Gameplay with Herbert revolves around one thing: containers. Once you’ve loaded up, your job isn’t done. You’ll need to secure the cargo by hand using twistlocks and lashing points, locking each container into place before departure.[/p][p]With everything locked down, it’s time to set course. Navigate your vessel across open waters, watch out for storms and high waves, and keep a close eye on your systems. Once you reach your destination, it’s back on deck – unlock the twistlocks, release the lashings, and unload the cargo.[/p][p]Herbert gives you the full container-handling experience. She’s more than just a ship – she’s the beginning of your Crescentport Logistics career, and she is stacked and ready for your next adventure![/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
📋 Cargo Ready, Captain?
[p]
