[p][/p][h3]Ahoy, Seafarers![/h3][p][/p][p]Our first major Early Access Update has arrived on the horizon – and you can start testing it right now![/p][p]The LNG & Bulk Update, adding new gameplay to the Crescentport Logistics faction, is now available on the ‘public_beta’ branch. Let’s take a look at what’s entering the port![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]🛳️ Meet Big Trip[/h3][p][/p][p]Big Trip is a giant on the seas – fittingly named the largest container ship in the world of Seafarer. Command its immense deck, handle huge stacks of containers, and experience large-scale container shipping like never before.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][h3]⚓ Meet Bulk Carrier Willy[/h3][h3][/h3][p]Reliable, sturdy, and a little old-fashioned, Bulk Willy transports unpackaged granulated goods such as building materials like sand.[/p][p]Explore the rear-mounted bridge tower via its staircase, walk the upper deck, and access the cargo hatches on foot as you learn the ropes of bulk operations.[/p][p] [/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][h3]⛽ Meet Nordic Duchess[/h3][p][/p][p]Nordic Duchess is an LNG tanker; a heavy-duty vessel built for the safe transport of liquefied natural gas. This ship is your entry point into the new LNG gameplay.[/p][p] [/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][h3]🔥 Introducing LNG Operations[/h3][p][/p][p]LNG handling is one of the most intricate processes in maritime logistics, and with this update it becomes an immersive new gameplay type in Seafarer.[/p][p]Once you’ve accepted an LNG transport assignment, it’s time to prepare the ship for loading. LNG tankers use a manifold, a set of hose loading nozzles sealed with flange plugs. Before and after loading, you‘ll need to loosen and retighten the securing bolts on the manifold flange. This opens the connection for fueling and locks it again once the transfer is complete.[/p][p]At the pier, you’ll guide the shore-based Marine Loading Arm (MLA) into position. After aligning it with the manifold, clamp the systems together and start the LNG transfer. As loading progresses, you’ll monitor the terminal’s pressure controls and keep the system within safe limits.[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][h3]🏗️ Introducing Bulk Transports[/h3][p][/p][p]Bulk Carriers like Willy transport unpackaged materials such as sand. Before loading, open the cargo hatches. At the terminal, a mobile harbor crane with interchangeable attachments is used to fill the holds – and just like in real-life operations, you must never mix different bulk materials within the same hold.[/p][p]Once loading is complete, simply close the cargo hatches to secure the cargo and prepare the ship for departure.[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][h3]🌊 New random events at sea[/h3][p]This update also introduces a few new random events on the open seas, adding more variety to your voyages.[/p][p]You may encounter a ship in distress needing repairs – jump in to assist and get them seaworthy again.[/p][p]Or you might enjoy a peaceful break with a bit of sightseeing, inviting you to take a photo of a unique landmark or point of interest you discover along your journey.[/p][p]More events will follow in future updates as we continue expanding life at sea.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]🎮 Try the Update early[/h3]

    These can be found here:

    Only delete the file "SAVESLOT_PlayerPrefs_v0.sav"![/p]

  • [p]Furthermore, the following file should be deleted to reinitialize the shader compiler on the next game startup: %LOCALAPPDATA%\\Orca\\Saved\\
    Only delete the file "Orca_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache"![/p]

(The previously deleted files will now be recreated. Before the next game start, you can also re-enable saving to the Steam Cloud. In case of a cloud conflict, please select the local save data so that the files causing the crashes are overwritten.)[/p][p]While restarting the game try to not edit anything else and continue to the main menu. Ignore the missing entries in the profile![/p][p] [/p][p]Option1:[/p]
  • [p]Your profile will be loaded correctly after initialising the game the first time.[/p]
  • [p]Click on "Singleplayer" and "Casual". [/p]
  • [p]Please note: This will abort your current mission and its progress![/p]

  • [p]After reaching the main menu go to your profile selection screen by pressing "P" or click on the button in the bottom right corner of the main menu.[/p]
  • [p]This will update your profile. Your first profile should now be correctly loaded.[/p]
  • [p]Go to the main menu and press "Continue".[/p]
[p]Please note: Sometimes missions have corrupted the save file, therefore it is recommended to try option 1 if it still crashes![/p][p]  [/p][hr][/hr][p] [/p][p]We know there are still issues that need attention, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue working on solutions. We wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy these fixes and improvements before the weekend, so we’ve moved the hotfix to the main branch.
