Natsukatshii was the absolute queen of mascots in the Shōwa era. She was a national celebrity and rose to huge heights of stardom. Now in her twilight years, she has retired to Kaso-Machi to live quietly, bringing a nostalgic air of old time glamour with her.
She has found a new purpose in town, now making delicious cakes and sweets in Mieko’s café. She offers to work with Michi after seeing how he has welcomed all sorts of mascots into his agency, and offers mentorship to the younger mascots like To-Fu. She had become disillusioned with the mascot industry as it began to promote only a specific type of mascot and wanted nothing to do with it, but she has rediscovered her love for the craft thanks to Michi and Pinky.
Developer notes:
One of our goals is to create an otherworldly, place-out-of-time feel with Kaso-Machi. The game takes place in the current day but this town is stuck in the past. Rachel wanted a mascot that had been big in the Shōwa era and had found a new life in our game town.
