Beta Update and the Future of the Game
[p]Hello everyone! [/p][p]Over the past months, we’ve been hearing more and more requests from the community to give King’s Bounty a bit of a modernization pass. Just enough to feel more at home in 2026. So… we’ve decided to take our first steps in that direction.[/p][p]That said, King’s Bounty: The Legend is not exactly a young game anymore, to put it lightly. There are serious technical limitations, and making meaningful improvements sometimes requires a hefty bit of magic, prayer and straight up luck.
Still, within those boundaries, we want to do our best to move the game forward. [/p][p]Now, if you opt in to the Beta Branch of the game, you will be able to play a new version that includes:[/p]
[/p][p]For now, we’ll keep a close eye on how this version behaves on all kinds of PC setups and see how you guys feel about these changes. Then we’ll figure out where it makes sense to go next.[/p][p]That could mean more small improvements over time, a look at Steam Deck compatibility, and, if things line up, maybe even achievements.[/p][p]So don’t be shy, try it out, and tell us what you think![/p][p]

- [p]Removed black side bars when playing in 16:9 resolutions. Proper modern standards like 1920×1080 are now fully supported.[/p]
- [p]Improved UI readability, with several interface elements and fonts increased in size. Easier on the eyes, especially on larger screens.[/p]
- [p]Doubled the maximum zoom-out distance. More battlefield, more context. The more, the merrier![/p]
