Update 1.0.4 More bug fixes

Some more bug fixes this time. I am currently working on the sell button, but I made some bug fixes that I thought was worth releasing in their own update.

I also took the opportunity to implement an improvement of the navigation button from a suggestion on the Discord. Full list below:

Improvements
  • Up and Down navigation buttons now move the camera to the base instead of going all the way to the other side. Pressing the same button again moves the camera to the mining edge.

Bug fixes
  • Fixed a crash when warning icons was on and base was extended all the way to the sides
  • Fixed miners getting stuck at the edges of the map
  • Fixed rails getting out of the map border
  • Fixed 100% cpu usage on the Steam deck even when playing on smaller bases
  • Create control group button no longer overlaps with control group 9 button

Update 1.0.3 more bug fixes

Some more bug fixes today. Hopefully it will make things more stable now so I can focus on the sell button next

Balance changes
  • Miners now can upgrade to their intended max speed of 15.0 m/s instead of only 14.7 m/s

Bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug where miners sometimes had 0 speed which would also cause the game to freeze when upgrading miner speed
  • Minimum miner saw damage now shows correctly in the info box when saw damage is over 2000
  • Fixed a bug causing the navigation buttons to sometimes take you outside the current available map area
  • Fixed a bug where the storage minecart had 0 carts
  • Fixed a bug causing cleared columns of gems and trees to reappear
  • Fixed a bug making it possible to refund more miners than you had

Update 1.0.2 few bug fixes

Just a few quick bug fixes to fix some issues.

Fixed a bug causing upgrading the storage minecart when it was heading through the portal to cause various crashes.

Fixed some miner upgrades not working or causing the game to freeze.

Set vsync to enabled by default as this might be a solution for the yellow screen problem. It will only apply when starting the game for the first time or after deleting the settings.data file. But if you have the yellow screen problem, try enabling vscync and see if that solves it for you. If it does, please let me know and also send your dxdiag files if you have the issue so I can try to figure out what is actually causing it.

Hotfix for Update 1.0.1

Fixed a bug where storage minecart would not go to pickup wands unless the wand storage was almost full

Update 1.0.1 Performance and stability improvements

Hi! Time for an update to the game. This update is all about performance and stability since that is what was needed the most for the game right now. Wands and sticks are now bundled up into boxes when they get over certain numbers in the storage. This will greatly help with the GPU performance since rendering hundreds of thousands wands and sticks became quite the challenge for even the beefiest of GPUs. I also fixed a few bottlenecked in the multi-threading system for the simulation that made large bases go into very low ticks per second. So the very large bases should see a large performance improvement for multi-core CPUs.

With these two areas of performance improvements I am currently getting at least 60 fps in most areas in a base that is upgraded to the max on the width and have rails on all lanes with my Ryzen 5800x and GTX 1080 TI. Just to give you something to compare to. This will not be last performance improvements for the game, it was just the low hanging fruit for now and should hopefully be enough for the time being so I can focus on some QOL features and after that some new content. But I will probably sprinkle some more performance improvements in upcoming. The game will always be quite cpu intensive for large bases though, and scales quite well with core count. So a recent cpu with 8 cores or more is recommended for a large base. I have added a note under system requirements on the store page to reflect this. If you don't have an as powerful cpu you might want to focus more on depth than width in your base as that will be much less taxing on the cpu.

You can see the full patch notes of today's patch at the bottom of the post.

Next week I am planning on starting working on selling stuff, since that is probably the most requested feature and I will probably look into some other smaller QOL features as well that has been requested.
