Of course, we hoped you’d enjoy the little demo we put together for Steam Next Fest, but seeing just how many of you played it, loved it, and shared your excitement has been beyond anything we imagined. The demo received over[/h3][p][/p][h2]300,000 downloads & 2,000 Overwhelmingly Positive reviews.[/h2][p][/p][h3]As a result, Dispatch has surpassed[/h3][p][/p][p]To say we’re blown away would be an understatement.[/p][p]
It’s been incredible seeing the response to Dispatch. We know we’re making a weird thing, so watching hundreds of thousands of people check out the demo and actually connect with it has meant a lot to everyone on the team. With no choice but to rebuild, Robert takes on a new role at SDN, a hero-for-hire agency, trading combat for a desk job dispatching superheroes. [/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p][/p][h2]About AdHoc Studio[/h2][p]We are a small independent game studio loosely based in Los Angeles, CA, but have people on our team from all over the states, Canada, Brazil, and other parts of the world. Our studio was founded by folks who previously worked at Telltale Games, Ubisoft, and Night School Studio, writing and directing on critically acclaimed titles like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands. Much like those games, Dispatch puts interactive narrative at the heart of the experience.[/p][p][/p][h2]What's Next[/h2][p]Dispatch is coming out this year, so the whole team is heads down finishing it! There's only 6 months left inside 2025, so yeah, we're equally freaked out and committed to getting it done on time. [/p][p][/p][p]Also, it's worth calling out that while the demo does not have full controller or Steam Deck support at this time, we plan to include those features in the full release later this year. Aaron Paul, he of a heartbreakingly fraught performance as Todd in Bojack Horseman, and also Breaking Bad, is starring in a new strategy story game from AdHoc, a studio with ex-Telltale developers at the helm. Dispatch is a story-focused strategy game where you’ll play a broke superhero trying to get himself a new mech suit by working at a hero dispatch center. Having trouble tracking a trailer down for this one, but you can find it here on Steam.
