[h2]PROXIMITY CHAT[/h2]
Let us start off with the big new feature coming to Oh Baby Kart – proximity chat! Now, you can communicate with other racers in real-time when you’re close to them on the track. Whether it’s strategizing with allies, throwing playful taunts at your rivals, or sharing a quick laugh during intense races, proximity chat adds a new level of excitement and interaction.

[h2]NEW ENGINE TYPE [/h2]
In addition to Automatic and Manual modes, we are adding a new setting called “No Drift”. This new setting is aimed at brand new players to help them ease into the game and learn about the mechanics.

[h2]NEW GAME MODE - TRAINING GROUNDS[/h2]
Introducing a new training mode where you can further develop your karting skills and accuracy. This new mode is aimed at experienced players to practise harder mechanics.

[h2]NEW MAP[/h2]
In addition to some slight map adjustments, a new musical map will be appearing! Keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think.

[h2]ITEM ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
The following items will get tracking and collision adjustments:

[h2]PROGRESSION REWARDS AND LEADERBOARDS[/h2]
Rewards for weekly quests have been changed and updated. Weekly group leaderboards have been removed and are undergoing rework. We will update you soon once a new system is in place.

This patch will look to balance a whole lot of heroes. The following heroes will be affected:

[h2]Tutorial Stage:[/h2]

We have added a new tutorial stage for beginners! When you complete it in our main menu it will be found in the SOLO tab under 'more'.

We plan to use this tab to rotate in and out more future modes!

[h2]Physics:[/h2]

* Landing in general did not feel great. We adjusted the physics to make it smoother but also prevent 'in floor' collisions making you break through the floor.

* Ultimate abilities will track the floor better and on-hits.

* Colliders in stages as a whole are improved.

[h2]UI/UX[/h2]

* Added sort functions for items

[h2]Hero Balances[/h2]

* Fooo: hook speed boost increased 12%

* Khun: 8% reduction in ultimate cost for base A. Second ultimate only loses 5 coins, instead of 100%

* Pas: Starts with 2 coins as a base

* Loma: 2% drift power increase

* Dib: Invention bomb bonus last 1 second longer. Explosion will not make players lose coins.

* Ha Yuri: Rose Booster has a 10% bonus speed. Ha Yuri's ultimate cannot trigger off herself anymore.

* Zach: Slip Stream + 20% bonus

Descriptions, hot fixes and notable collision/respawning issues fixed.

It’s finally here! Patch 1.0 is LIVE! We are also beyond excited to announce an incredible new collaboration in Oh Baby Kart featuring Tower of God! From October 8, 2024, to November 7, 2024, you'll have the chance to purchase exclusive skins from this hit series and take on a unique community challenge.

[h2]Tower of God Collaboration[/h2]

We are excited to be collaborating with Tower of God to bring players five brand new characters to the game! In addition to the characters, we will be releasing a new community event in-game where players will have to complete a global meter in the lobby. Every race adds points to this meter, and once it's filled, the entire community unlocks special rewards! Think of it as a “test” from the Tower itself—the more you race, the closer you get to victory and your rewards!

[h2]Global Community Meter[/h2]
Every race will add points to the meter. Below is a breakdown of the points:

Grand Prix Races (solo and duo): 4 points
Race Royale Races: 1 point
Players using a Tower of God character will earn an additional 2 points

[h2]Rewards[/h2]
In order for the community to get rewards, everyone will need to come together to fill the meter and reach the milestones below:

• 25% Filled: 1x Exclusive Wheels Unannounced Exclusive Kart
  
• 50% Filled: 1x Limited Lootcrate
  
• 100% Filled: 2x Limited Lootcrate + 1x Dinosaur Jez x Unannounced Exclusive [Character] Skin
  

Important Note: In order for players to receive the rewards, they will need to at least contribute 150 points to the Global Community Meter

We got a big patch coming on October 8, 2024, with significant changes. We’ve got all the details below, so let’s jump straight into it!

[h2]FREE-TO-PLAY[/h2]
Let us start off with the big announcement. Oh Baby Kart (OBK) will be going free to play on October 8, 2024. What does that mean exactly?

New Players. Starting on October 8, OBK will be available to download for free and all players will have access to most game modes and features, with some exceptions. Free-to-play players will have access to all online multiplayer game modes, but will NOT have access to a majority of current and future solo game modes (such as RR Cups and Challenges). This means that in order to unlock certain heroes that are tied to Challenges and RR Cups, you will need access to the full version. To unlock the full version - you just need to purchase anything from the shop (yes, that’s right, any purchase whether it be a battle pass or a collaboration item will give you the full version!).

Existing Players. For players who currently own the game, that means you won’t have to do anything. The full version of the game is already unlocked for anyone who purchased the game. This means that those players can unlock all the heroes in the game, as well as any future challenges and RR Cups.

[h2]REWARDS[/h2]
If you already own OBK, we want to say thank you! When OBK transitions into free-to-play, we will set up the following rewards for existing players:

• 2x Preseason Boxes (now known as Base Boxes)

• Exclusive Chibben Fast Food Skin
  
• The Dino Pass - this pass never expires
  
• Access to all existing and future game modes and challenges
  

The Bulma Maid and Chibben Fast Food skins will be exclusive one off gifts and will never come back. This is to say thank you for your support and for being such an incredible community!

We also have additional rewards for players who went above and beyond:

• Players who are level 69+ will receive the School Huntress Skin
  
• Players who are level 100+ will receive a Tire Box (Epic Lootbox)
  
• First 100 players who reached Level 100 have received the Floral Border, a border that was only given to 100 people and will never come back
  

Note - additional rewards may be given and distributed on top of everything above in the form of additional lootboxes/BP.

[h2]NEW MAPS[/h2]
The upcoming patch will also introduce 6 new maps. Additionally, 4 of these new maps will be special sprint maps. A sprint map is a one way map with checkpoints along the way. Instead of a repeating loop, a sprint map really rewards those who know the full map and the position of what is to come.

[h2]NEW GAME MODE - THE AXEL TOWER[/h2]
Big shoutout to Axelmeow and the art team! Introducing the Axel Tower, a new crazy mode where players will need to reach the top as fast as possible! This new game mode will also have a special event with rewards. Without spoiling too much, all we can say is….good luck!

[h2]NEW ITEMS[/h2]
In addition to balancing existing items, we will be introducing new items to the pool. Depending on the map, you could turn into a rubber ducky, or make someone else turn into a turtle.

[h2]NEW HEROES AND TWEAKS[/h2]
There will be new heroes coming with this patch. We won’t be spoiling too much so we’ll only reveal 2 heroes now.

[h3]Elbow, the Dragon Duck[/h3]
Elbow has a special ultimate that allows him to get full speed boost and steer if the first boost hits someone nearby. It’s a very risky ultimate because not only will you need to land it on to another driver, you have to also be able to control the new bonus steer on the hit. High Risk, High reward.|

[h3]Pas, some Random Game Designer[/h3]
Pas' mechanics revolve around coins. He has the strongest boost in the game, but not only does his boost require triple the most expensive ultimate in the game, it will also remove all his coins upon usage. Additionally, he needs 25 coins to actually get the coin boost.

A number of heroes will also get their stats tweaked.

[h2]MINOR GAMEPLAY CHANGES[/h2]
After extensive testing, we realised that the difference between automatic and manual drifting was too wide. As such, we have improved the balancing of both and also increased the overall pace of the game. You want speed? We will give it to you!

[h2]DIFFICULTY BALANCING[/h2]
We heard you out and changes in the difficulty curve of the RR Cups and Challenges have been made to allow for a more pleasant experience.

[h2]LOCALIZATION[/h2]
With this patch, we will be supporting more languages. These include:

I bought Oh Baby Kart, what do I do?

Nothing! You already have access to the full game. In fact, if you owned the game before October 8, 2024, then you have access to additional rewards (see “Rewards” section).

I don’t have Oh Baby Kart but I want to play it. What should I do?

You can either buy the game on Steam before October 8, 2024 and receive some of the additional rewards mentioned above. Alternatively, you can wait until October 8, 2024 and play the online multiplayer game modes for free. Note that if you wait until October 8, 2024 and play the free-to-play version of the game, you will not have access to all solo game modes (some of which help you unlock heroes upon completion).

I want access to all game modes and features. What should I do?

If you already own the game prior to October 8, 2024, then you won’t have to do anything. You already have access to everything. For new players who download the free-to-play version of the game, in order to unlock all features, you just need to purchase anything from the store, whether it be a collaboration package or a pass.

Does this mean all heroes are unlockable for all players?

All heroes will be unlockable to existing players or players that purchase the full version of the game. For free-to-play players, not all heroes will be unlockable.

What about skins for heroes, will those be free too?

No, hero skins in the shop will still need to be bought. Nothing changed there.
