DEV. LOG # 1 | Update 0.18 Pre-Alpha
[p]Welcome to the inaugural development update for Better Than Dead (BTD).

Why no HUD? For realism. Every fight is raw without a HUD. It's tough, but that's the point.
Why bodycam? It's my second game with a bodycam effect, I love it when a game makes you feel inside, and a virtual camera that simulates a real one has always had that effect on me. Plus, I came up with a cool and plausible story that justifies it!
The story? It's about revenge.
Current Progress - Version 0.18 Pre-Alpha:
Camera and Animation Improvements: I've enhanced the responsiveness between the camera movement and the protagonist's arms. Animation transitions are now smoother.
New Level Design: Work has begun on a level inspired by a Hong Kong brothel/nightclub,
Sound Effects (SFX) Integration: The initial batch of sound effects is being integrated, bringing the game's world to life with ambient sounds and NPC interactions, adding layers of immersion to the environment.
Content Censorship Material: A censorship material has been implemented to thoughtfully address sensitive content within the game.
NPC Behavior and Variety: Improved NPC behavior overall, introducing more variety in their reactions. Some enemies will now attempt to flee, adding a new layer of realism and unpredictability to encounters.
Enhanced Detail of Civilian NPCs: Increased the level of detail for "civilian" NPCs. This is a first step to see how the game and its fluidity respond to enhanced NPC facial details.
Added a new "nude" civilian model, necessitating the implementation of the censorship material mentioned earlier.
I'm working on the project alone, so I have a lot to do.
Feedback, Advice, and Suggestions: are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think, either here or on BTD Discord channel.
...And remember to Wishlist BTD Here on Steam!
