1.7.1 Patch Notes

This hotfix contains the following changes:

[FIX] Hard mode challenges no longer erroneously count unique planets instead of unique missions
[UPDATE] Minor alignment changes in level select UI

One Year Anniversary Update 1.7 + Hard Mode!

Congratulations for Surviving through 2025!

This year we’ve been blown away by how good some of you got at piloting Froggie and GERM. For those looking for an extra challenge outside of Endless Missions—especially players new to our game but who have beaten 100 other bullet heavens already—we’ve added a Hard Mode toggle to the mission select. Hard Mode makes enemies more powerful, and in exchange bumps up the drop rate for enhancement currencies.

And of course Hard Mode comes with some new Challenges, featuring some very fresh unlockable outfits!

It’s hard to believe this game launched just a year ago. Entropy Survivors has changed in some big ways since that initial release, but one thing that’s remained constant is our wonderful fanbase. We’re capping off the game’s first birthday with a little Anniversary celebration, complete with cake, balloons, and two new Anniversary skins:

Thanks for celebrating our birthday with us. Until next time: Stay Alive.

Update Outline

● Anniversary Event
○ The game’s been out for a year! Celebrate with new decorations in the game’s Hub.
○ Contains two limited-time challenges that unlock fun Entropy Survivors-themed skins.
● Hard Mode
○ For players wanting an extra challenge throughout the entire game, Hard Mode makes enemies more powerful. While playing in Hard Mode, resources (ability gems, etc) are more likely to drop.
○ Comes with new in-game challenges, including 3 unlockable skins.
● Minor balance changes and UI tweaks

Halloween Update!

Boo! Hey, Survivors!

It’s harvest season in Deep Space!

For the next few weeks, celebrate the spookiest time of year with hub decorations and two unlockable dyes:

This update also includes the following balance changes and bugfixes:

  • [BALANCE] Armor values above 90 now offer diminishing damage protection with an exponential falloff, meaning values above 100 will still allow a tiny fraction of damage through. Previously armor was capped at 99%, making players effectively invulnerable at values above 100.

  • [IMPROVEMENT] In-game damage numbers now support up to 5 digits (y’all are getting too good at this game). Previously the final digit would silently be dropped for super-high damage values.

  • [IMPROVEMENT] Performance increases on the Main Menu.

  • [FIX] Made it harder to accidentally launch the game without Steam running, which would cause players to not be able to join multiplayer games.

  • [FIX] The Jet core’s Refuel perk no longer stops applying invulnerability to a player who has extended their flight for a really long time.

  • [FIX] Fixed issue with the Refuel perk where target enemies could be defeated by your Jet flight before the refuel time extension could apply.

Keep fighting the good fight!
