Thank you for your Feedback about Update v1.0.3!

Thank you for your great feedback on the new version 1.0.3 of City Transport Simulator: Tram!

If you don't have CTS: Tram yet, the Collector's Edition is currently 20% off until March 20! Get it now in the Steam Spring Sale: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2604480/City_Transport_Simulator_Tram/

Here’s a look at our upcoming plans:
🔹 More Frequent Updates
We have optimized our development and testing processes, allowing us to release updates more quickly and regularly—sometimes as frequently as every 2–3 weeks!
To ensure the quality of these updates, we have carefully selected dedicated players from our community as beta testers. These testers get early access to new versions and help us detect bugs and test improvements. Their feedback has already contributed significantly to optimizations!
If you haven’t already, join our Discord: https://discord.gg/ZqFJeTQS
🔹 Adjustment of Tram Signal Phases
With update 1.0.3, we have reworked the signaling system to create more realistic traffic light phases. However, this has also resulted in trams sometimes having to wait too long. We are actively working on adjusting the signal timings and line schedules to make the process smoother—without making the simulation too easy. 😉
🔹 Improved Driving Physics for the R2.2b
The sinusoidal movement of the R2.2b tram is currently being adjusted! This will reduce lateral swaying in curves and even on straight tracks, making the driving experience even more realistic.
🔹 Performance Optimizations & Crash Fixes for Xbox Series X/S
Some of you have reported performance issues and crashes, especially on Xbox Series S. In the upcoming updates, we are optimizing roads, sidewalks, and trams to prevent crashes and improve overall performance—benefiting all platforms!
🔹 Announcements for Xbox Series X/S
We recently received an update for the announcements plugin on Xbox Series X/S, but there are still technical issues. The plugin developer is already working on a fix, and as soon as the feature is stable, we will release a hotfix so you can use announcements as soon as possible.
🔹 New Navigation System
The previous HUD navigation didn’t meet our expectations. In the next update, you can expect a dynamic navigation system that will guide you directly through the city. You can choose between different display styles: the full route, short distances, or only switch points. City Transport Simulator: Tram - Roadmap February Update

A Glimpse into the Future of City Transport Simulator

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank you for the great launch of City Transport Simulator: Tram! Your support and constructive feedback mean the world to us. It shows that what we are building together has a strong and engaged player base behind it.

Of course, not everything went perfectly, and some issues have affected your gameplay experience. That's why today, we want to be transparent with you about what we're currently working on and what is planned for City Transport Simulator in the near and distant future.
Stability and Bug Fixes
The first week was intense. We've been closely monitoring your feedback and are working hard on an update that will address the most reported issues. Right now, the focus is on crashes, especially those related to the E1 tram model – both the player and AI versions.

In the next patch, you can expect:
- Fix for AI E1 trams getting stuck in traffic
- Fix for crashes related to the E1
- Fix for crashes on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S & PC
- Corrections to the target and line display on the GT8N and E1

Another important point is the missing station announcements on consoles. Unfortunately, we still have to wait for an update to the plugin that handles these annotuncements, which will cause a slight delay. But rest assured, we will deliver the announcements as soon as we can. Since the crash fixes are a higher priority, we don’t want you to wait any longer for those.
AI Improvements, Feedback, and Dynamic Weather
The optimization of the vehicle and passenger AI remains a central focus, particularly when it comes to realistic priority rules and smoother traffic flow. We also continue to pay attention to your feedback, which is why we are currently working on a free track selection at certain termini when creating lines. The goal is to avoid traffic jams and make the simulation even more realistic together with improvements in tram AI.

Of course, dynamic weather is still a major focus. Since we want to implement realistic effects such as changed driving behavior, functional windshield wipers, and heating, as well as adjusted passenger behavior, this feature will take a bit longer.

What is nearly finished, however, is the fully customizable controls. We know that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to control settings, which is why you will soon be able to reassign all the relevant keys and functions for both keyboard and gamepad. Additional improvements for joystick configuration will also be coming.
What’s Next?
We want to give you more ways to personalize your gameplay experience in the future. Soon, you'll be able to not only set custom names for stations, but also give the city itself a name of your choice.

This is an important step in further enhancing immersion and turning your city into a personal, unique game world. We're also working on offering station announcements in more languages, making the experience even more authentic and international.

Additionally, we want to give you the ability to customize the appearance of your stops. With different presets, inspired by real cities, your city's look will become more varied and lively.
Navigation and City Design
A major point of feedback was the minimap, which at times caused more confusion than help. Therefore, we are working on a new solution, similar to the green circles at the stations, that will guide you naturally through the city without being intrusive.

There will also be some changes to the map itself. In addition to further improvements to switches and signals, we plan to expand and decorate many of the inner-city streets to make the city even more immersive.
New Vehicles and Surprises
Yes, new vehicles are still planned! Which ones exactly will be kept a surprise for now, but we’re sure you won’t expect some of the models coming your way.

Thank you for your support and feedback. We look forward to continuing to work on City Transport Simulator with you!
