The work doesn’t stop now that we’re in Early Access – check out our Roadmap for all the exciting things we’ve got coming your way in the near and distant future. Big thanks to those who have already wishlisted City Transport Simulator: Tram, and to everyone who is planning on grabbing it while in the Early Access phase.
About City Transport Simulator: Tram
In City Transport Simulator: Tram, you will be playing the role of a tram driver, transporting passengers to their destinations around the city of Tramau. Choose from three true-to-life real-world trams, each with its own cab, interior, mode, and function. Pick up and drop off passengers while adhering to the timetable as you become familiar with your favourite tram.

Brand new to City Transport Simulator: Tram is the introduction of a career mode! As Tramau’s new tram operations manager, it’s up to you to turn around the fortunes of the city’s tram network. Develop your tram operation into a city-spanning tram network by starting with limited resources and just one tram. As you progress and earn XP, you’ll increase the number of trams in your fleet, customise and edit your own timetables, and place over 100 possible tramlines wherever you like in order to link up 39 stations.
About Tramau
While the trams in City Transport Simulator: Tram are true-to-life simulations of real-world trams, the city of Tramau is entirely of our own making. Tramau has a lot of awesome points of interest and architectural pieces reminiscent of Southern German cities for you to explore, as well as a rich and storied history going back to the 12th century. This was a crucial decision for us to make, because we didn't want the game to feel stifled if it were set in a city with a tram network already in place. This way, you can expand Tramau’s tram network and place stations wherever you like! There’s 22.5km worth of track at your disposal which will only increase as we continue to develop the game.
About Early Access & Benefits
Whether you’re a member of our passionate tram community or you’re new to the tram simulator experience, we love and welcome feedback. Going into Early Access means we can take all that feedback and apply it as we continue to improve the game and see it through to 1.0 release. We want City Transport Simulator: Tram to achieve its fullest potential, and we can only do that by going into Early Access and listening to what you have to say about it.

We’ve also got some pretty cool Early Access goodies for you all to enjoy! When you pick up the game in Early Access, you’ll get it at a reduced price than if you waited for full release! Early Access also includes some shiny new trams we’re still working on, and you’ll get those as soon as they’re ready; the ULF A1, and a modern Viennese tram.

Pic of the Week #26 - Career Mode

City Transport Simulator: Tram will be released in less than a week in Early Access on Steam! Last week, we explored the sandbox mode and line creation. Today, we're diving into the career mode of CTS: Tram!

Week 26 - Career Mode

In career mode, you step into the role of a newly qualified tram driver. Tramau, once one of the first cities with electric trams, has neglected its tram network in recent years. However, thanks to an investment from the mayor, the network is being revitalized, and new trams from across Europe are being introduced.

You will start with the new Tramau Transit line network and get to drive the ULF from Vienna. You will also have the unique opportunity to help design the line network and take on increasing responsibility. Through your drives, you will collect experience points (XP), which allow the operation to acquire new trams and resources for larger lines.
The Email System
Throughout your career, you will receive regular emails from colleagues. These messages offer valuable tips, new tasks, and additional opportunities to advance your career. They help you master the challenges of the operation and give you insights during Early Access on how to optimize your service.
Earning XP and Leveling Up
Follow the rules to earn XP and level up. You will be rewarded for adhering to speed limits, signaling correctly, respecting traffic lights, and stopping properly at stations. When you perform multiple correct actions in a row, you earn XP combos that accelerate your leveling process.

With enough XP, you unlock new levels, which reward you with resources for vehicles and lines, new logos for your operation, and additional trams that you can purchase in the market.
Passenger Satisfaction
Your custom-created lines and schedules are evaluated based on passenger satisfaction in career mode. Make sure your lines are not only fun to drive but also offer tight intervals, good connections, and extensive network coverage. These factors affect the overall city satisfaction and give you XP bonuses, helping you level up faster and acquire better lines and vehicles.

CTS: Tram will be released on June 20th in Early Access on Steam, and you can wishlist it now. Stay tuned for more exciting news and updates!

Pic of the Week #25 - Line Creation

Less than two weeks to go until City Transport Simulator: Tram finally launches in Early Access on Steam on June 20th. Today, we want to introduce you to the different game modes and the line creation feature.

Week 25 – Line Creation

A highlight in City Transport Simulator: Tram is the ability to create your own lines. This is made easy thanks to Tramau’s 22.5 km track network – our largest yet!

Simply choose a starting station, connect as many different stations as you like, and end the route at one of the ten terminus stations. You can also select the line color, the long and short name, and the code to enter into the IBIS, the onboard computer. Then, assign your trams to the line.
Passenger Management and Vehicle Deployment
Each created line has a set number of passengers who will use it every hour. To transport these passengers, you will need appropriate vehicles. On the market, you can purchase various trams, differing in price, capacity, and passenger comfort.

Depending on the length and connectivity of a line, you may need more or fewer vehicles. It’s important to plan carefully and choose the right trams to ensure efficient passenger transport and maintain high satisfaction levels. The trams you select will actually operate on the assigned lines in Tramau!
Timetable and Interval Management
In City Transport Simulator: Tram, you can not only create your own routes but also set the intervals and timetable. Simply set the start and end times for the line, then choose an interval between 3 minutes and 1 hour. The timetable will be automatically generated based on these settings.

The AI trams will follow the created routes and timetables. Be mindful of how you set intervals and times to avoid congestion and delays. Efficient timetables are just as important as connected lines to ensure smooth operations.
Career Mode and Sandbox Mode
City Transport Simulator: Tram offers two different game modes: Career Mode and Sandbox Mode. In Career Mode, you can build your own operation by earning XP to unlock resources and vehicles. In Sandbox Mode, everything is already unlocked, allowing you to start driving all trams and create lines without any restrictions.

Sandbox Mode is perfect for players who want to create routes and schedules without limitations. Even if you don’t want to create your own lines, this mode includes six pre-made lines that work logically and cohesively. This means you can have a fully functional network from the first minute.

In today's Picture of the Week, we will delve into the extensive map of Tramau, which is a key feature of our game.

Week 24 - The Network of Tramau

Tramau's map is a massive and intricate network, offering over 100 different route possibilities for you to explore.
