Greetings, Daeva!
Ready for a new AION update? You’d better be, because on 19/8 things hot up again on the European servers! As usual, there’s loads of great new content for you to explore:




[h3]Ultimate Transformations[/h3]

You can now plumb the depths of evil with our new ultimate transformations – transform into one of the two sinister Dragon Lords, Ereshkigal or Tiamat!




[h3]Combat Support[/h3]

So much loot and no time to collect it! Know that feeling? Then check out our Combat Support system and let your hero do all the heavy lifting!

• Stop/start the feature with a simple click of the Combat Support button.
  
• Set up which skills your hero should use – you can choose up to 5.
  
• In the settings you’ll also find options for recovery.
  
• In a special window you can watch your combat stats and gathered goodies in real time.
  

[h3]Game Changes[/h3]

We’re always extremely grateful for player feedback, and in the past you’ve sent us a lot of suggestions to update our instance merchants. In update 7.6 we’re putting these changes into action. Plus you can also look out for new Lugbug missions, cubelets, Odians and runes!

Who says you can only play cards in winter? Join in our summer card game by collecting various combinations of playing cards to win some great prizes – including the Transformation Contract: Marchutan, Transformation Contract: Kaisinel, Box: Hell Steed and Ancient Polishing Stone!




[h3]The Playing Cards[/h3]

There are 24 different playing cards in total, each with different symbols and split into 4 suits: clubs, hearts, diamonds, and spades. Each suit includes an ace, king, queen, jack, 10 and a joker. Collect various different combinations of cards to win valuable prizes.

[h3]Cards Overview[/h3]


During the event, you’ll receive one free playing card in the shop per account per day. Only characters who have reached level 65 are eligible for free cards.


You can give yourself a better chance of winning by buying extra cards from the AION Shop. Card are available individually or in packs of 24 or 100.


Please note:

• The cards are generated at random – you might see some a lot, and others only rarely.
  
• Accounts created after 11th August are not eligible for these free card giveaways.

Want to make your Daeva even more powerful and teach your enemies the true meaning of fear? Now’s the perfect opportunity! During this event the enchantment chances for Daevanion skills are increased, while an NPC will sell you Daevanion items in exchange for the event currency. Plus you’ll find special offers in the AION Shop to make your hero even stronger!

During the event you can get your hands on items such as the [Rune] Daevanion Skill Selection Box (10 types), the [Rune] Daevanion Essence or the [Rune] Enhanced Sports Tournament Skill Card Bundle.



How it works:
[h3]Enchant[/h3]
Offers in the Shop

During the event you can pick up some special bundles in the AION Shop. Each includes the [Rune] Daevanion Skill Selection Box (10 types), the [Rune] Daevanion Essence and a [Rune] Expert’s Letter of Recommendation:

• Small Daevanion Expert Set
• Medium Daevanion Expert Set
• Large Daevanion Expert Set

Enchantment Chances

The chance of enchanting Daevanion skills is increased during the event, so make the most of it!


[h3]Become a Daevanion Expert[/h3]
The [Rune] Expert’s Letters of Recommendation found in the shop bundles can be exchanged for selection boxes containing Daevanion skills and Daevanion Essence in various amounts from Clerkrinerk. You’ll find her in the Inggison Illusion Fortress or the Gelkmaros Fortress.


[h3]Special Rewards[/h3]
If you manage to enchant your Daevanion skills to +15 during the event, you’ll receive a special reward in the form of the [Rune] Enhanced Sports Tournament Skill Card Bundle! This allows you to customise the appearance of some of your skills.

If you enchant 2 of your skills, you’ll receive 1 special reward; for 4 skills you get 2 special rewards. These will be delivered via the AION Shop during the reward period, and can be collected via ‘Manage bonuses’.





Note: The event item [Rune] Expert’s Letter of Recommendation will be removed from the game one week after the end of the event.

Running: 5/8 to 19/8

The Red Nose Granker King is back! After his humiliating defeat last winter, he retreated to lick his wounds and plot revenge. Now he intends to bring the Daevas to task, having mustered a sizeable army of Sweaties and Redclaw Potcrabs. Even Debilkarim the Maker has joined his cause. Their plan is to hit Inggison and Gelkmaros, so the Daevas will have to be on their guard!


[h3]The Hero Trials[/h3]
Complete Hero Trials and send the Granker King’s army packing. In reward you can look forward to a Selection Box of Ultimate Enchantment Stones, Balaurea Odian Chest, or Class A Minion Contract, Level 4 (5 types) amongst others!

Complete the requisite quests and defeat special enemies in Inggison and Gelkmaros to master the Hero Trials. The quests are available for players of levels 76-80 and can be played in groups.

Seek our your opponents at the following locations:

• Sweaties and Redclaw Pot Crabs appear in Inggison and Gelkmaros.
• Debilkarim the Maker can be found in Lower Udas Temple.
• The Red Nose Granker King is roaming around Inggison Outpost and the Gelkmaros Defence Base.

[h3]Rewards[/h3]
In addition to the rewards for completing the daily/weekly quests, you’ll also receive bonus rewards for completing a certain number of Hero Trials.

In order to rake in all you can for these quests, you’ll need to complete the daily/weekly quests with the same character.

The quest rewards are divided up as follows:

• 6 of 18 quests completed
• 10 of 18 quests completed
• 15 of 18 quests completed

Note: We’ve reworked the appearance of the Hero Trials user interface/window.

Running: 8/7 to 29/7

Archaeologists digging deep beneath the ruins in the deserts of Dumaha have recovered Mysterious Magic Lamps from their excavations.

These lamps are imbued with a marvellous energy which bestow their owns with power, riches and precious items – among others the [Rune] Transformation Contract: Kaisinel, [Event] Vision Weapons Selection Box and [Event] Transformation Contract: Apostle (6 types)!



[h3]Collect Mysterious Magic Lamps[/h3]
You can obtain lamps in the following ways:

• Each week you can collect 3 lamps per account for free from the AION Shop.
• Lamps can be purchased in packs of 15 or 30 in the AION Shop.
• You also have a chance to earn lamps in rewards chests for the solo instance Lower Udas Temple.

[h3] [/h3][h3]Rub the Lamp[/h3]
If you rub a Mysterious Magic Lamp, you can rank it up! Lamps come in levels 1 to 8 and the items the lamp bestows improve with each upgrade level. But don’t rub too hard, or the precious lamp might break!


[h3]Lamp Fragments[/h3]
If you break your lamp when upgrading it, you’ll receive a Lamp Fragment. You might also receive fragments as a by-product when upgrading your lamp.

Lamp Fragments can be exchanged for the following fabulous items from Ararunerk:

• [Rune] Enchanting Arabian Headdress
• [Rune] Enchanting Arabian Robe
• Magic Carpet - Premium Restoration (90 days)
• Refreshing Swimwear
• Shark Costume
• Box: Surfboard (30 days)

You can also collect the fragments and craft a level 1 Mysterious Magic Lamp from 5 fragments.
