Hotfix 0.8.14

While working on a bigger upcoming update, we gathered some more fixes for you, addressing some annoying bugs and an recently introduced savegame issue.

0.8.14
  • Fixed camera being locked on tractors when trying to move to farm view
  • Play building animation while paused, roads are not animated anymore so that they are easier to connect
  • Implemented achievements "Professional Farmer" and "Mismanagement"
  • Fixed a bug where weed did not unspawn, resulting in fields having a lot of weed visualization even with low weed level
  • Fixed a bug where deleting the first save game from a list did not work
  • Fixed a bug where the tutorial reappeared/restarted when loading a save game
  • Implemented selling pastures
  • Implemented receiving fertilizer when animals are on the field
  • Fixed a bug where a landcover would show the bare texture for pastures
  • Fixed a bug where growing plantings were stopped by accident
    This fix also addresses savegame issues players have been reporting with the latest patches.


Known Issue: There might be a new issue where selling pastures directly does not work anymore, but you still can convert it back to a field and then sell it.

Hotfix 0.8.13

We have a new batch of fixes for you with a bigger technical change to crop spawning that potentially fixes a lot of crashes that were reported.

Changelog 0.8.13:
  • New features to vote on in feature requests should not have default negative votings anymore
  • New category in the financial overview for the money you spend on daily operation costs (Will be extended with field action costs in the next update, which are still missing)
  • Reworked crop spawning system, addressing crash issues, crops now might take 1-3 seconds until they are spawned in on all fields visually when loading maps.
  • Assignment overview after field sold not open anymore, plantings/ preview deleted properly now
  • Fixed a bug where notifications would always show "Field not ready" for any failure reason
    (Now with more information, this should address the currently most reported bug, we are working on something to show reservations at all, as still makes planning multiple field difficult at the moment)
  • Reset a field when a planting action fails. This should fix several issues where fields were no longer plantable.
  • Fixed various loca issues
  • Fixed an issue where the duration of Spray, Irrigation and Fertilize were calculated incorrectly
  • Avoid some flickering when fields are overlapping (This is a bigger change that should reduce flickering problems, but fields may still overlap as this is just how some OSM data is defined)
  • Reactivated welcome window
  • Small fixes in new crop spawner


Known Bug: Weed keeps spawning in now, anti-weed spraying and plowing seems not to reduce weed anymore visually, but still changes the gameplay values. Will be addressed with a very soon next hotfix. We wanted to give you this update as early as possible to give you some important crash and planting fixes.

Stability Patch 0.8.11

Hello Global Farmers!


We are back with an important stability update addressing the most concerning issues of not being able to get into the game, having issues loading maps or having crashes and freezes. As this did not happen to all users it took us a while to figure out those problems.

We already tested most of those changes on our beta branch "experimental" with the version 0.8.10 were we could confirm that most issues were fixed. If you having still troubles getting into the game with this update, please get back at use in Steam or via discord, it helps us greatly to make the game accessible to all our players. Thanks to everybody that contributed to help us fix these things.

  • Routing fix: no more division by zero
  • White field fix: missing material was added
  • Unity version update: increased stability
  • Input System update: increased stability
  • Resolution fixes:
    - less unwanted behaviour and freezes when changing resolutions
    - ultra widescreen resolution support
  • Cursed HUD fix: fixed HUD appearing at unwanted places problems that led to freezes
  • Game Credits Scene Switch fix: Changing from Game Credits to Main Menu doesn't make the game freeze anymore
  • Map Editor Delete Mode fixes:
    - deleted osm fields won't be reloaded anymore with game start.
    - deleting your own created fields won't freeze the game anymore
  • Small technical refactoring's for planting system and fields


[h2]Outlook[/h2]
Besides ensuring playability and technical stability, we are currently evaluating how we can add meaningful progression, content and something to keep you motivated to play more global farmer as we see this as the biggest issue at the moment.

There were some great suggestions from our community so far regarding general feature ideas and feedback and we going through them carefully and adding them to the feature request board in the game from time to time.

Hotfix (version 0.8.10) available as Beta

Listening to your feedback about a better tested version, we decided to upload the new patch version to the "experimental" beta branch over the weekend before offering it to everyone next week, to make sure the new version is offering the required stability. If you're interested in a preview we kindly invite you to join this beta.

Here's a small explanation how to switch branches on Steam in case you haven't done this before:
- Right click on the game in your library, and click Properties.
- Select the Betas tab, and select the branch you want to switch to. Keep in mind the branch you want may be at the bottom and require scrolling.
- Once you see the "experimental" branch, select it and click OK.
