We’ve been heads-down polishing core systems and building brand-new places to explore, all in preparation for our next major content drop. Grab a comfy chair - here’s what we cooked up last month![/p][p][/p][h2]Day & Night Island Tree Dungeon[/h2][p]A massive tree rises from Day Island and yes, you’re going inside. Expect branching paths (literally), pockets full of loot, and encounters that make this risky exploration worth your while.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]New Language[/h2][p]Day & Night island folk speak their own tongue. Find dictionaries, learn the language, and unlock NPC quests that reward recipes. Progress on this island now feels like actual cultural immersion (with loot).[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Enchantment[/h2][p]Meet Runes and Rune Shards. Slot runes into any weapon or tool to unlock unique effects and upgrade them with shards to amplify the build you love. Theorycrafters and min-maxers - this is your playground![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Roof System[/h2][p]Roofs now hiding what’s beneath until you’re in the right spot! Exploration becomes a tactile puzzle: peek, step in, reveal. [p][/p][h3]Ahoy, Tinkerlanders![/h3][p]Every end of September, Green Day's famous song comes to mind. Perhaps even more so this year, because after releasing the Volcano update, all we wanted to do was take a legendary nap - one of those where you lose track of time and wake up just in time for dinner. Dev life can be hard! [/p][p]The most important thing is that we did it! The first major update for Tinkerlands is now available, featuring Volcano Island, mod support, the pet system, our first steps into the PvP system, and more new things that you can check out in the patch notes. We couldn't have done it without the help of our wonderful testers, who worked closely with us to ensure that the best version made it to the public branch. With this first content patch released, it's time to look ahead and take... [/p][p] [/p][h2]A Quick Look At Our Next Update[/h2][p]We're finally working on the next Tinkerlands update! As we detailed in our roadmap, this time we're mainly focusing on giving NPCs a little more depth, so to speak. Today, we're happy to reveal some of the new features it will include. [/p][p][/p][h3]Weather Phenomena[/h3][p]We all love clear skies and sunshine, but rainy and windy days have their charm too! So, starting with this update, you'll enjoy random weather events across all islands. These will help the world feel much more organic and alive. Additionally, some have special effects on the player stats; the golden sky, for example, increases your luck and the chance of finding rare items.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]NPC Behaviors[/h3][p]We're making our NPCs smarter! After this patch, you'll be able to assign them specific tasks. For example, you can ask the Farmer to harvest crops for you.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]NPC Death[/h3][p]Non-playable characters can also take on enemies lurking in the area. That means you'll have more hands to help you take down these annoying creatures and collect their loot. But at the same time, things can go wrong: if the NPC dies in combat, they won't respawn for a while. You'll see a small countdown timer below their name; the character will come back to life when it reaches 0.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Gift System[/h3][p]They're always there for you, so why not do something nice for them? Now you can give gifts to some NPCs. Try to find out what they really like—something cool might happen if you guess right.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Mounts[/h3][p]No more traveling entire regions on foot: hop on the back of your animal companion and reach your destination in no time! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Mushroom growers[/h3][p]Place it on the ground and come back the day after to collect a random mushroom! You'll get this item from the Witch after reaching the max level of Amity. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Visual Glow-Up[/h3][p]Last but not least, you'll notice a small upgrade in some NPCs. [/p][p]Ideally, our next update will arrive on Steam at some point in Novemeber 2025. Until then, let us know what aspect of the mentioned above feels more exciting to you! At this point, we would also like to draw your attention to the modding community, as they have been creating incredible stuff to make Tinkerlands an even more enjoyable game for everyone. Tinkerlands v0.2.0.1

[/p][p][/p][p]This is a really small update to address some of the issues that have appeared in the stable release of the v0.2.0.0 update.[/p][p][/p][p]We've fixed the issue that made some walls appear blank, this will be re-calculated the first time you load you game (It'll take a bit longer to load the game that first time) and should not happen again after that. We have also implemented a new feature that allows us to share some special codes that will give you some goodies ingame, stay tuned to our social media and Discord since we'll be releasing them here and there from now on! Volcano update is available on public branch

[p][/p][p][/p][h2]Ahoy there, Tinkerlanders![/h2][p]It’s been half a month since we announced an unstable version of Patch 0.2.0.0, which featured the long awaited Volcano update. Thanks to all the dedicated players who helped us with testing, we’re ready to share the polished version on the main branch. [/p][p]The update will shortly show up in your download queues! Just a brief warning – some parts of the game localization are still in the works, we’re doing our best to release the final version ASAP. For those who missed our past announcement, let us guide you through the main changes you’ll find on Tinkerlands with the Volcano update.[/p][p][/p]
VOLCANO UPDATE FEATURES 
[h2]Mod Support[/h2][p]We want players to feel connected to these islands in as many ways as possible. One of them would be offering a high level of customization for everyone to express themselves out of the box. Crafting a robust Mod Support system is the first step to offering such creative freedom. Our team has been working hand-on-hand with the modders over Discord, providing them with documentation, work tools and test mods to be used as examples. Together, we made great progress these days![/p][p]If you are interested in creating mods for Tinkerlands, please make sure that you join our Discord community (link at the end of this post) as that will be the place to get help for now. If you are only interested in playing mods, we'd also ask you to join our Discord server as that will be the hub to post mods until we’re ready to move this feature to Steam’s workshop.[/p][p] [/p][h2]Volcanic Island[/h2][p]Play “floor is lava”, but… way less friendly? Better protect yourself, things are about to get BURNING HOT (not in a good way). Explore this inferno in search of unique items and more enemies to beat! The local fauna have adapted to the heat and they are not happy to see you. But hey, with your new weapons in hand, they might just warm up to you... violently.[/p][p][/p][p]New land, new threats... naturally, you’ll need some new toys. Find powerful gear tailored to your favorite class: Pyro Mage, Flame Warrior or Fireproof Archer. Choose your flavor of destruction![/p][p]Last but not least, an ash-tounding final fight against the Magma Worm awaits you in the depths of the volcano… if you can handle the heat. No need for thumpers for these absolute units.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Pet System[/h2][p]Life would be so empty and horrible without animals by our side… so we squeezed in a Pet System into this update! From the noble cat to a vivacious rock, find all sorts of cute creatures all over the map, foster them and they’ll love you back. In their own weird way.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]PVP System[/h2][p]Did your best friend steal the last slice of your favorite pizza? Some offenses need appropriate retribution. Enable Friendly Fire and settle things the old-fashioned way–by hitting each other ruthlessly.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Banner System[/h2][p]Say “NOPE” to that one mob you really hate! Now you can craft special banners (yes, we do have a talent for naming things) to banish certain especially annoying types of enemies and take tactical control of your surroundings.[/p][p][/p]
