Hello, This is Spectral Scream.
The wait is over! Spectral Scream has officially launched today, August 29th, 2024.
After months of tireless development and invaluable feedback from our early access community, we're thrilled to present you with the full release of our cooperative horror exploration game.

A completely new Chapter 4 set in a terrifying ghost hotel has been added!
New environments, puzzles, and menacing enemies await you.
[h3][New Boss Creatures][/h3]
- Each chapter now features a unique boss with special mechanics:
- Chapter 1: Maid
- Chapter 2: Clown
- Chapter 3: Chloe
- Chapter 4: Bellboy
- Bosses can't be exorcised through conventional methods but are defeated upon chapter completion.

- Scarecrow
- Doppelganger
- Geisha

- Crossbow: Effective against Undead-type creatures from a distance.
- Thread and Bell trap: Subdues nearby Ghost-type creatures.
- Lamb's Blood: Subdues nearby Demon-type creatures.
- Adrenaline: Allows unlimited sprinting for a limited time.
- Hourglass: Temporarily teleports the user outside, then returns them to the original location.
- Teleporter: Forcefully summons all living players to the outside.
- Red Butterfly: Remotely summons a corpse.

- Gameplay Improvements
- Resolved an issue where player corpses were not reviving instantly
- Fixed a bug where noise-cancelling tinnitus persisted for players in a downed state
- Addressed an issue where noise dolls were activating despite being blocked by closet doors
- Corrected a problem where the scarecrow face shader was only visible to the server host
- Fixed missing alert sounds when team members died or were incapacitated
- Resolved an issue where players could get trapped in item sale boxes after reviving corpses
- Corrected bugs related to nearby player health recovery upon creature elimination
- Visual and Audio Enhancements
- Improved lighting for merchants and carriages
- Fixed discrepancies in the number of creatures subdued by players on the results screen
- Resolved headset recognition issues during gameplay
- Corrected errors in party member location display
- Multiplayer and Network Improvements
- Fixed item stock display errors in shops at game start (multiplayer)
- Improved VOIP server login stability
- Addressed low voice volume issues for other players in the lobby
- Resolved infinite loading when entering password-protected rooms
- Fixed game-ending condition errors after server host death

- Addressed intermittent orb collection issues
- Fixed lobby language change application problems
- Corrected footstep sound playback errors while in a downed state
- Fixed ESC menu malfunctions after game exit
- Resolved player icon display issues for deaths in different chapters
- Corrected feedback manager malfunction when stamina is depleted
- Addressed intermittent entrance/exit UI display issues
- Fixed mouse sensitivity settings application in spectator mode
- Improved chapter opening time synchronization
