When was the Elden Ring Nightreign beta? The Lands Between beckons us once more for a standalone expansion that introduces a roguelike loop into FromSoftware's formula. Playtests are the perfect opportunity to get early access and discover if a dedicated multiplayer version of this landmark RPG is for you.


The first Elden Ring Nightreign closed beta has been and gone, but there's a chance that FromSoftware could announce a second test period. I don't have an Elden Ring Nightreign network test code, and if you're here, I'd wager you don't either. Plenty of people across Twitch and social media have been playing FromSoftware's upcoming spinoff, and it looks like they're having a great time with the co-op roguelike take on one of the best RPGs ever made, but the rest of us have to wait. Luckily, however, we can all kill time knowing that Nightreign is currently on offer at a pretty nice discount, before it's even out.

Friday February 14 - Added statement from FromSoftware regarding a potential additional network test session.


The Elden Ring Nightreign beta is underway, and if you were one of the lucky few who got their hands on a key you can dive into the new FromSoftware game right now. At least in theory. Despite being a limited-access test, the launch of the beta is already suffering server troubles in its opening hour, with players finding themselves unable to login or being kicked from the game before they can matchmake.

Elden Ring Nightreign’s First Network Test Has Been Plagued With Issues


Elden Ring Nightreign has stumbled a bit out of the gate, as during the first Closed Network Test, thousands of players have reported issues, including not being able to access it at all.





Across social media players have reported issues, and there are even threads on sites like Reddit filled with players saying they aren’t even able to access the test. Of course, the point of a Network event like this is to stress test the game’s servers and make sure it can handle massive amounts of players — which is clearly an issue currently.





Bandai Namco describes it as such, “This large-scale Network Stress Test is designed to evaluate various aspects of the online system’s functionality and performance. We are looking forward to your cooperation to make Elden Ring Nightreign even better.”
