Hejstos is being created because earlier, probably 80% of you reported that you do not want early access for Farathan because you do not want to spoiler the plot and the world.

Hejstos is focused on an adventure in the style of Souls games, we go forward to achieve goal X, kill a lot of monsters, explore, upgrade the character and weapons.

All the mechanics that we make together in Hejstos will be transferred one to one to Farathan. The world will change, the main character will change, and a plot will be added.

So, all the work that we do together here, aims to make playing Farathan enjoyable.
Early Access is for you. We work so that sooner or later you have in the game everything you like, just the way you like it.

Early Access Principles – Early Access is for you. We work so that sooner or later you have everything you like in the game, just the way you like it.

Some mechanics will simply be added – upon a simple request. Some will be added after conducting a survey. The exception is things that do not fit the world of the game. For example, we will never add tanks 😉

We want to cooperate with you; we work for you. So you can be at ease. There's no developer vs. players here. This RPG is meant to delight us all. If something doesn't fit, just write about it. I've been playing myself for 28 years, mostly as a warrior, so I would especially ask mages for help.

This project will not be massively advertised, certainly not until the release. So some things may take longer. We are a 2-person team with little experience, please remember that. What for example the Reds can do in a month, we need 7 years for.

For the more inquisitive, a formula:

300 employees x 8 hours x 21 working days in a month = 50400 working hours

2 enthusiasts x 12 hours x 25 working days in a month = 600 working hours
50400 / 600 = 84. 84 months is 7 years.

And we still need to make a living. So report your needs. We will try to implement them as much as we can.

At the start, there will be a mage character who explains where we are, why we are there, and what our goal is.

For the rest of the game, the hero will mostly talk to himself (to you), as this is a hostile wasteland.

We don't have either the money or the time to write another RPG with dialogues and an elaborate plot. Therefore, Hejstos is focused on an adventure in the style of Souls games, we go forward to achieve goal X, kill a lot of monsters, push our way through wherever possible, upgrade the character and weapon.

We polish every mechanic without spoilers so that you would be satisfied.

[h2]Farathan[/h2]

The biggest challenge after Hejstos will be creating living cities in the style of Gothic. We have huge problems with this.

Narratively and dialogue-wise, the game will very much resemble Gothic. I mean a certain style here. Nowadays, it would be described as wooden, but that's exactly the type of dialogues I wanted to write.
The biggest threat to the project, apart from the aforementioned cities, is the part of the dialogues and the possible need to rework and record them again, but we will assess this after Hejstos.

The premiere of Farathan will occur +/- half a year after the premiere of Hejstos. We will do everything to make the game as good as possible, but we expect sales to be around 2000 copies. We are talking about Farathan here. Hejstos is a small project for us gathered here.

We are a 2-person team, we love playing and making games.
We most enjoy creating games that are medieval fantasy and simply medieval.

We work as a duo because we are old enough to understand that working in large teams, in offices, is not for us. So, if you expect us to build another CD PROJEKT RED, unfortunately, that is not our ambition.

Our approach to players is modeled on Larian Studios (Creators of Baldur's Gate 3); we accept criticism and try to improve what you do not like. We do not take offense at anyone.

I am happy to listen to everything about the game, what you need, how a given mechanic should look. However, I do not discuss marketing and company development.
