SCOTT PILGRIM EX LAUNCHES MARCH 3RD 2026!

[p]When we announced Roxie Richter and Lucas Lee’s addition to the Scott Pilgrim EX roster, there was plenty of speculation as to who would be the next characters to jump from the Scott Pilgrim comic pages into the pixelated streets of Toronto! [/p][p]We hope to make some of you very happy by announcing the next two characters joining the fray in March: Matthew Patel and Robot-01![/p][carousel][/carousel][p]🔥Matthew Patel brings theatrical flair and mystic chaos to the battlefield. With a style that blends fire and ritualistic showmanship, Patel manipulates the flow of combat like a puppet master by summoning his demon hipsters to distract enemies, control crowds, and lay traps that can tip the scales in his team’s favor. [/p][carousel][/carousel][p]🤖Robot-01 is a combat unit built for mayhem rocketing across the screen with thrusters and transformations, delivering brutal blows at blistering speed. This machine morphs mid-battle, fires long-range blasts, and unleashes a powerful strong attack that rains explosive projectiles across the screen, clearing out crowds in a flash.[/p][carousel][/carousel][p][/p][p]Watch Patel and Robot-01 clean up the streets of Toronto in the new character reveal & release date trailer:[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Members of Toronto’s coolest band, Sex Bob-omb, are kidnapped and their instruments stolen as the city is terrorized by demons, vegans and robots. Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers and their gang of new unlikely allies must bash their way across the city, from its streets to its beaches and even back in time to save the band![/p][p][/p][p]A total of seven playable fighters will be featured, with Scott and Ramona set to gain one final ally ahead of Scott Pilgrim EX’s release! [/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p]Scott Pilgrim EX launches March 3rd, 2026 🌀[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Thank you for being part of our community! EX-EVIL EXES COME TOGETHER IN SCOTT PILGRIM EX

[p]Since we announced Scott Pilgrim EX back in June, we’ve loved watching everyone speculate about who the rest of the seven playable characters might be. Well, it wouldn’t be Scott Pilgrim EX if we didn’t bring a few of our favorite exes into the fray, right?
[/p][p]Roxie Richter and Lucas Lee are the first to join Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers as playable characters in this new beat ‘em up brawler coming in 2026![/p][p][/p][p]🎬Lucas takes a break from Hollywood stardom to lay the smack down on any baddies standing in his way, with grappling prowess and a fully-weaponized skateboard (meaning he hits people with it).
[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p]🥷Roxie meanwhile brings her signature sword-slicing and dicing into the fray as a quick-hitting, speedy half-ninja, with a kit complete with smoke bombs and moves that turn her into a blender on the battlefield.[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p]Watch Roxie and Lucas mop the floor with some of the goons who have laid claim to Toronto in the new character reveal trailer:[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Hands-On at Gamescom 2025![/p][p]We showed off Lucas and Roxie for the first time during Gamescom 2025, where the press got hands-on with a new playable demo and the early return has been pretty great so far:[/p][carousel][/carousel][p]"Scott Pilgrim EX is shaping up to be a fitting continuation of the series while bringing in enough fresh ideas to make me want to dive back in and see all it has to offer. It is fun, colourful and impressively smooth."[/p][p]- Brendan Frye, CGMagazine[/p][p][/p][p]"Scott Pilgrim EX seems like a snappy and modern beat 'em up with a surprisingly open design."[/p][p]- Lexi Luddy, Shacknews
[/p][p]"Thirty minutes wasn't enough to see just how wide Scott Pilgrim EX goes, but what I've already seen has me excited at the prospects."[/p][p]- Wesley LeBlanc, Game Informer
[/p][p]Seeing this kind of reaction makes us feel like we’re headed in the right direction, and we’re not stopping here!

The Best of Gamescom 2025: CGMs Favourite Titles This Year

CGMagazine had a full team on the gamescom 2025 show floor, and we worked hard to go hands-on with as many titles as time would allow. We spent the week running the massive halls of the Koelnmesse and saw everything from a massive World of Warcraft: Midnight portal to a Zenless Zone Zero Aston Martin. We played extraction shooters, strategy games, horror titles galore and cozy games so cute we couldn’t handle it.

After playing more than 50 titles over four days, CGM has chosen its picks for Best of Gamescom 2025. These games left us craving more hands-on time, pushing us to ask developers questions and, in some cases, begging for release dates. Whether it was a fresh take on a genre like The Blood of Dawnwalker, a long-awaited return like Hollow Knight: Silksong, or a title so unsettling it hasn’t left our minds like REANIMAL, these are our choices for Best of Gamescom 2025.

Gamescom 2025: Scott Pilgrim EX Preview – Back To A Pixelated Toronto

It can be surreal to play a game that fully embraces Toronto, Canada, while in Cologne, Germany, but that was the pleasure I had on my second day of gamescom when I sat down to jump into Scott Pilgrim EX. Developed by Tribute Games Inc., the same studio that brought the world Mercenary Kings in 2014, the game looks to capture the spirit of Ubisoft’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game while expanding the concept in new and exciting ways. After about 30 minutes with three other players, Scott Pilgrim EX proved to be a pixel-fuelled fever dream that is hard to forget.

First announced in June of this year, Scott Pilgrim EX brings to life the characters many fans know and love, while giving them a new story to explore and new locations to experience, all in a unique and colourful pixel-art style that is bubbly, fun and at times bananas. Even though it comes years after Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, it somehow manages to feel just as fresh, bringing the brawler style to the... Read more
