GENERAL
QUALITY OF LIFE
  • Implemented a large suite of CPU optimizations to improve performance
BUG FIXES
  • Vector Dynamics: players can no longer reactivate the Dual Amp ability (Q) while swapping bodies
  • Ghostlink: fixed a bug where certain cosmetics would have their VFX taking too long to fade when using Dupe (E)
  • Fixed a bug where District names would be localized in some languages

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed a bug where players would spawn incorrectly in the tutorial
  • Fixed a bug where the Ghostlink’s Dupe (E) displayed some cosmetics incorrectly
  • Fixed a bug where players couldn’t move after interacting with the map screen
  • Fixed a bug where some skins clipped into Ultrawide screens when equipped.
  • Fixed a visual bug where the prediction lines for tossing utility and the puck were sometimes inaccurate
  • Fixed a crash related to moving between Shooting Range and Tutorial

Spectre Divide Update | November 5 | Patch Notes

GENERAL
  • Based on community feedback, we’ve enabled a basic version of Spectator Mode for Custom Matches to support competitive play.
  • Spectator Mode is currently in early Beta. You will encounter bugs and known issues.
  • We don’t intend to make many updates to Spectator Mode right now – most change/feature requests will be queued up for the future.
    • Known issues:
      • As a Spectator, your Sponsor Help (F1) menu is blank
      • If you start a Custom Match with a Spectator and no Attackers or Defenders, the match will be canceled
      • As a Spectator, the Map (M) will only show Sponsor logos for the team you’re actively spectating
      • As a Spectator, sometimes a player in the top HUD will show as disconnected when they’re not (reconnecting to the match typically fixes this)
      • As a Spectator, at the start of the round, the Minimap will briefly show the player arrows as dots
      • The color indicators above the player portraits at the top of the Spectator HUD are incorrect
      • Some equipment cooldowns don’t update properly when observing individual players
      • The colors used to highlight teams through walls use different color values from the minimap
      • Voice-over lines are sometimes incorrectly attributed to the Spectator
      • There are some issues with Spectator + Widescreen. For example, if you’re observing a player scoped using a sniper rifle and then you change players, you may be stuck with black borders
      • This corrects itself after a short amount of time.
BUG FIXES
  • Fixed an issue where spamming Ping repeatedly could cause an unexpected performance drop
  • Fixed an issue where your camera would sometimes remain stationary when being eliminated by an enemy (instead of showing your 3rd-person death animation)
  • Fixed an issue where enemy outlines would sometimes look incorrect when overlapping
  • Fixed an issue where you could not purchase Endorsement tracks for various items

Spectre Divide Update | October 29 | Patch Notes

QUALITY OF LIFE
  • After a patch that requires a client update, you’ll now see End of Match results before being returned to the Press to Play Screen
  • Various performance optimizations
BUG FIXES
  • Fixed a bug where you could become stuck in a reconnect loop if you disconnect during Sponsor Select
  • Fixed a bug where weapon sights could appear detached when playing with FXAA anti-aliasing enabled
  • Fixed a bug where you could sometimes see enemies pop into view during a swap
  • Fixed a bug where certain anti-aliasing settings could cause flickering on the Press to Play Screen
  • Fixed a few crashes related to older graphics cards

Spectre Divide | Update Notes | October 22

Hey everyone!

This week we have a lot of weapon updates and bug fixes. We’re doing our best to continue pushing bug fixes and reducing the amount of bugs that crash or hinder match progress. We’ve also made some optimizations on weapon reloads and equipment animation updates.

WEAPON UPDATES
  • Improved the overall snappiness of weapon draw and holster
    • Weapon holster animations can now be skipped when equipping weapons and Sponsor Kit utility
    • It should now be easier to understand when a weapon is ready to fire
    • Weapons now always play their first-time equip animation when drawn
  • Weapons now support reload canceling
    • Reloads will no longer use checkpoints if canceled with a partially full magazine
    • There are still protections to prevent timing-related exploits
MAP UPDATES
  • Fixed several spots on Commons where the ZEUS wouldn’t reset appropriately
QUALITY OF LIFE
  • Players who you’ve blocked will now be removed from your Friends List
  • Various performance optimizations for both CPU & GPU
BUG FIXES
  • Fixed an issue where players sometimes received an Online Services Error when logging in
  • Fixed an issue where Ghostlink’s Partition (Q) could be deployed at the incorrect location in rare cases
  • Fixed a bug where Alchemist Spray was the wrong texture when used
  • Fixed a bug where Alchemist Knife’s internal liquid was sometimes misbehaving
  • Fixed a rare crash related to Surrender
