Patch 0.82

Hi everyone!

This is a small patch to fix a bug where Steam achievements for hotshot and freak difficulties weren't coming through. Sorry about that!

Your victories will still be saved even if the achievement didn't trigger previously. Now in 0.82 getting a win on hotshot or freak will trigger any relevant achievements for that difficulty retroactively.

Patch 0.81 is now live

[h3]WHAT'S NEW IN 0.81[/h3]

  • CONTENT - New monster guts effect.
  • CONTENT - Some new lines for CPT Briggs.

  • BALANCE - Reroll cost capped at 21.
  • BALANCE - Autosword now intercepts enemy projectiles.

  • QOL - New indicator if the player tries to command drones when no drones are available. Added SFX for drone commands.
  • QOL - you can now view your buildings when levelling up / during encounters.

  • BUG - Fixed the balance on some in-game menu SFX.
  • BUG - fixed drone health bars sometimes getting stuck on the screen.

'Freak' Update 0.80 is now live!

Hi everyone! Check out the biggest update yet!

[h3]NEW CONTENT[/h3]

  • Added new Hotshot and Freak difficulties! Freak mode can be customized further by activating the freak stars. 5 new steam achievements have also been added for these.

  • New encounter mechanic! Meet the denizens of the desert and manage your risks and rewards. Replaces the research mechanic which has been demoted.

  • New wave generation! Get a preview of the next waves enemies for more strategic play. Waves are now procedurally generated and more dynamic.

  • New Shield Charger structure! Boosts your max shield HP. Shield expansion perk has also been buffed to boost a % of max shield also.

  • Updated Research Lab! Now has a chance to level-up when you build. Level up the perk for a better chance. This new system feels fairer and gives the player more control!

  • New Perks! New mastery-type perks boost weapon sub-types. Use the Contingency Cores perk for extra lives.





[h3]BALANCE[/h3]

  • Buffed player move speed.
  • Buffed briefcase upgrade damage.
  • Nerfed angel kaiju satellite drop attack - replaced with bombard-style attack.
  • Nerfed horizon beam range slightly so it no longer offscreens.
  • Nerfed swarm launcher damage.
  • Nerfed nova tower upgrade damage.
  • Nerfed flamethrower piercing down slightly.
  • Nerfed miniroller generally.


[h3]BUG FIX[/h3]

  • Fixed some bugs for players on ultrawide monitors.
  • Fixed damage calculation for personal weapons.
  • Fixed stat calculation for drone factories (drones are no longer affected by adjacent buffing towers).
  • Drone factories no longer have 'Tower' subtype.
  • Fixed some minor performance related bugs.

0.72.2 Bug and Balance patch

Hi everyone and welcome new players!

[h3]WHAT'S NEW?[/h3]

  • Improved enemy pathfinding and collisions. Enemies should no longer get stuck on terrain.
  • Music: tracks are now shuffled and mixed. 1 new track added.
  • Small performance optimizations.


  • BUG: fixed the shield blinking back on and throwing enemies around.
  • BUG: fixed a visual glitch with elite enemy outlines.
  • BUG: fixed a bug where the stun bomber perk was still showing up after picking.


  • BALANCE: Nova tower base damage reduced by 1 to 3.
  • BALANCE: Rocket Launcher base range increased to 130m.
  • BALANCE: Elite enemy HP increased.

0.72.1 Hotfix

Hi all! Just a quick fix for the new item screen.

-Fixed some items costs that weren't showing properly
-Removed the buggy Ampule of Acid which needs to be reworked for now.
