0.72.2 Bug and Balance patch

Hi everyone and welcome new players!

[h3]WHAT'S NEW?[/h3]

  • Improved enemy pathfinding and collisions. Enemies should no longer get stuck on terrain.
  • Music: tracks are now shuffled and mixed. 1 new track added.
  • Small performance optimizations.


  • BUG: fixed the shield blinking back on and throwing enemies around.
  • BUG: fixed a visual glitch with elite enemy outlines.
  • BUG: fixed a bug where the stun bomber perk was still showing up after picking.


  • BALANCE: Nova tower base damage reduced by 1 to 3.
  • BALANCE: Rocket Launcher base range increased to 130m.
  • BALANCE: Elite enemy HP increased.

0.72.1 Hotfix

Hi all! Just a quick fix for the new item screen.

-Fixed some items costs that weren't showing properly
-Removed the buggy Ampule of Acid which needs to be reworked for now.

'Inventory' Update 0.72 is now live!

Hi everyone!

I'm super excited to deliver another large content update.

The 'Inventory' update features a new meta progression system in the form of items that can be unlocked with kaiju cores collected in your runs. They provide permanent bonuses and a way to further customize your run.

[h3]WHAT'S NEW IN 0.72[/h3]

- Item system: unlock meta-progression items with Kaiju cores
- Critical Hits: the classic system has been introduced. More synergies coming soon.
- Generators rework: they again provide income directly as their main function. They still boost interest by 1%

[h3]BALANCE[/h3]

- Nerfed bombarder bug projectile damage
- Wave populations increased in later missions
- Wave formulation minor rebalance


[h3]BUG FIXES[/h3]

- Fixed buildings getting damaged through the shield
- Fixed shield perks not being applied properly
- Engineer Max Ship HP ability now works properly
- fixed damage numbers not showing
- Minor performance improvements

0.71 Steam Achievements + Balance Update

Hi everyone, this new update brings 34 new Steam achievements and crew enhancements to make runs more fun.

[h3]WHAT'S NEW[/h3]

  • 34 Steam achievements have been added! There will be plenty more to come.
  • Repairing - all crew now have the 'Repair' stat and will repair ship HP according to that stat after each wave. This should make runs much more forgiving for non-engineer characters. The engineer's repair has also been buffed.
  • Crew Buffs - Buffed the crews starting stats (Shield HP in particular) and differentiated them a bit further.
  • Broke Bonus - is now triggered when you start a wave with zero gold.
  • Added some helpful tips on rotation to the loading screen.

0.70 'Evolution' Update is now live!

Hi everyone!

Apologies for the longer-than-usual break between updates. I'm proud to present the biggest update yet.

[h2]WHAT'S NEW?[/h2]

[h3]WEAPON EVOLUTIONS[/h3] - Powerful new upgrades that 'evolve' a weapon or tower into a new form after it has reached max level. Evolutions change how weapons look and have powerful effects. There are 20 to discover already! The following weapons/towers can now evolve, and have 2 evolved forms each:

-Blasgun (Plasma Uzi, Rad Blaster)
-Autosword (Blink Sword, Blade Orbit)
-Briefcase (Briefcase Sentry, Portable Nuke)
-Grenade Pistol (Stun Grenades, Seeker Grenades)
-Cannon (Sniper Cannon, Punch Cannon)
-Minigun (Mini Railgun, Miniroller)
-Claymore beam (Scorching beam, Horizon beam)
-Rocket Launcher (Swarm Rockets, Guided Rocket)
-Nova Tower (Toxic Nova, Frost Nova)
-Flamethrower (Acid Sprayer, Napalmer)


[h3]MISSIONS 6 & 7 ADDED[/h3]
Complete the Rookie campaign with missions 6 & 7 now added. New difficulty levels coming soon.

[h3]ELITES[/h3]
Elites monster variants are here to ruin your plans. They are marked with a blue forcefield. They spawn on a randomly selected pattern as either a tank, ranged or rapid type, and they drop gold when killed.

[h3]NEW STATUS EFFECT: VULNERABLE[/h3]
Enemies afflicted with vulnerable take additional damage. Currently applied via the Toxic Nova, Rad Blaster or the Acid Sprayer.

[h3]BRIEFCASE UPDATE [/h3]Now drops briefcases onto the map so you don't need to rely on dying so much. Still drops one when you die.

[h3]PERFORMANCE[/h3] - Improved overall performance with increased monster populations.

[h3]BALANCE + BUG FIXES[/h3]
-Rebalanced fodder waves and enemy ratios
-Decreased enemy HP on later missions
-Small nerf to minigun range
-Enemy whale guns are slower
-Shield no longer recharges after reaching zero during a wave
-Shield won't throw enemies and kaiju around

After this update, my next priority is a meta progression system to go along with some new difficulty levels/challenges.
