[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]It’s been a few days since the 4.2 update, the excitement has settled down, so it’s time for a quick summary.[/p][p][/p][p]As always, some people say the update was too small, so let me remind you: we’re using all the time and resources we have to make updates as fast as possible. We're also looking for new artists to speed things up, but so far we haven’t found anyone who meets our quality standards. We won’t lower the quality of the game just to release updates faster.[/p][p][/p][p]That said, everything is going according to plan – actually even better. We’re adding new scenes that we didn’t originally plan, and they’re not slowing us down.[/p][p][/p][p]As I said last year – and I’ll say it again – the final update (version 7.0 or 8.0) will come in the second half of 2026 and it will be the end of the game. If you bought the game on Steam, you’ll get that update for free. We’re not going to ask you to pay for extra chapters/acts or anything like that (we plan side-story DLCs though!).[/p][p][/p][p]Now, about the content. Some scenes might feel like you have no control over the story – but that’s not true. Most scenes now have different dialogue and renders depending on the choices you made earlier. This will become even more noticeable in the future.[/p][p][/p][p]And yes – most sex scenes are and will remain non-skippable. That’s part of the game’s genre: “Debauchery” and “Corruption.” We’re planning 4 different endings – but none of them include Riley becoming a nun. We know not everyone likes this style or genre, and that’s okay. Some people don’t like female protagonists, some don’t like sandbox games, and some don’t like how we tell the story. But many of you do – and that’s why we’ll keep going.[/p][p][/p][p]As always, some haters appeared on Steam and other forums. So let me say it again – this game isn’t for everyone. It’s actually funny how some people come back with every update just to say how bad the game is... and still play it. That’s the definition of hypocrisy.[/p][p][/p][p]Back to the production – Episode 5.0 will definitely come out this year, but we’re not ready to share a release date yet because… we’re also preparing a surprise for you later this year.[/p][p][/p][p]We’re now entering the second half of the year and the whole Steps of Debauchery team is hard at work. Episode 5.0 has been in development even before 4.2 was released, and it will move the story forward much faster and include a lot of new content. I won’t call it “huge” – some people expect 5 hours of new content every month, which is just not possible without hurting quality – but we’re doing our best and using all our free time to work on it.[/p][p][/p][p]There’s also another surprise we haven’t mentioned yet – I’ll tell you more about that next week.[/p][p][/p][p]That’s it from me for now. This is probably the post many of you have been waiting for – what’s coming in update 4.2 and when it will be released.[/p][p]First, just a reminder – this will be a smaller update. Things are still very busy in real life, and I barely have time for anything. We haven’t even had time to think about our honeymoon yet 😅[/p][p]But I hope things will get calmer over time and I’ll have more time for everything. Luckily, my team is working super hard, and thanks to them, we’re still able to release updates at a good pace.[/p][p]Episode 4.2 will be a bit of a “bridge” episode as we move into the core parts of the story. Episode 5.0 will be a much bigger moment – a full opening for you and Riley :)[/p][p]Now, what to expect in this update:[/p]

[p]Normally, I tell you what scenes are coming, but this time – it’s a surprise. One scene had to be cut, but we’ll include it in episode 5.0, so it’s not lost.[/p][p]We’re also adding a new movie to buy on the laptop and watch on the TV. There’s a new outfit, so… maybe a stream with Elijah? There’s also a lot of content with the neighbors and at the bar – but no more spoilers ;)[/p][p]And now the release dates you’ve been waiting for:[/p]

Hey there!

This May feels so long… or at least it seems that way to me. Luckily, the end is near! That means I’ll finally have more time for myself and for Steps of Debauchery. In just 6 days, I’ve got a wedding (yes, mine!) on Saturday, a party on Sunday, and then back to work full speed on Monday - no honeymoon, full work mode. I honestly can’t wait, because the past few weeks have been really overwhelming. I promise this is the last time I mention the wedding - now let’s talk about the new update!

Despite all the chaos, we’re almost done! Just two more scenes and a few animations left to make, then we’ll move on to coding and testing. I hope everything goes smoothly so we can release the update in the second half of June. If not, then early July at the latest. After the wedding, I’ll be able to give you the exact release date.

That’s all for now! I’m going back to practicing wedding dances and finishing the last preparations. I’m also leaving you with a few new screenshots from the update.
