Game Development Log (Issue 9)

Time flies, two weeks have passed in the blink of an eye, and it’s time to update the development log~
After two weeks of busy production, the road system is almost complete.
It will be tested among the player base this week and will be updated to the Steam version after it runs stably.
The road function has been introduced in the seventh issue of the development diary and will not be described again.
This issue’s diary will mainly introduce the forging media function that will be produced later.



When players forge equipment in the sect's forging room, in addition to direct forging, they can also add several "media materials" to adjust the output of the equipment.
A common example is adding dust props, which can add enchantment attributes such as combo rate and critical hit rate to the equipment.
Or add rare materials, such as spiritual cores and essences of various attributes, to affect the output of equipment entries and unlock the possibility of limited equipment skills.
Or use precious materials, such as the remnant souls obtained after defeating large bosses such as “Fei Niu”, to produce extremely powerful special equipment!
Even if lower-quality equipment is produced, it doesn’t matter. You can use the “synthesize” function that will be launched later to consume several pieces of equipment with the same name to consistently produce higher-quality equipment of the same type.

Note:
The equipment forging function will undergo a change, which will make equipment characteristics and drawings no longer bound.
Moreover, the equipment forging function will add more types of equipment templates for production.

In addition, the automatic backup and archive function has been added this week.

Time flies, and another week has passed in the blink of an eye. It's time for another update on our development progress~
In this issue, we'll mainly introduce this week's updates and outline our plans for future updates.

Here are the main tasks we focused on this week:

【New Features】
- Added the ability for the protagonist to replace skills after breaking through the Foundation Establishment stage, along with a corresponding short storyline.



- Added a feature beneath the sect interface to access the backpack and view all owned items.
- Implemented the functionality to dismiss characters and return some cultivation resources.
- Added the ability to actively refresh the Hall of Heroes by spending spirit stones.



- Added display of the time remaining until the next refresh of the Hall of Heroes.
- Resource output and building upgrades for the sect are mostly completed, but due to insufficient testing, they will not be updated this week.

【Adjustments】
- Adjusted the way character spiritual roots provide numerical bonuses.
- Changed the main attribute of the Spiritual Healer to Wood attribute.

Next week's tasks:
We will commence work on the "Dao Tu" feature in character cultivation, which will be our primary focus in the near future.

Major Update Plans for March:
- Introducing the feature of using mediums in equipment forging to influence the forging results, along with corresponding equipment skills.
- Implementing early-stage random events and timed missions.
- Introducing at least two new characters.
- Improving and optimizing the storyline of Chapter One and opening up the sect system.
- Designing the early-stage storyline, tasks, and corresponding level designs for Chapter Two.

Game Development Log (Issue 7)

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, it's already 2024. First of all, I wish everyone a Happy New Year!
After a short holiday, it's time for another update in the development log~

This issue will mainly introduce the character pathway system that will be updated following the Demo version. Pathways are the most direct means of enhancing abilities for characters after breaking through boundaries.



The Demo version will offer a total of 6 pathways for each character to choose from. Each pathway includes corresponding "Pathway Exclusive Enhancements," as well as common "Basic Technique Slots" and "Core Technique Slots."
Pathway Exclusive Enhancements reflect the unique characteristics of each pathway, progressing in three stages: "Initial," "Advanced," and "Ultimate," with two selectable effects for each enhancement.
Technique slots allow players to freely combine unique enhancements. Each character will eventually obtain 9 basic technique slots and 3 core technique slots.
Basic technique slots are typically used to cultivate common techniques, such as increasing attack power, critical hit rate, or switching the character's primary elemental attribute, enhancing the speed of removing poison, and so on.
Core technique slots are usually used to cultivate techniques with powerful and unique effects, combining various techniques with pathway enhancements, which can have a myriad of effects on a character.

Various techniques can be obtained from exploring the map, defeating enemies for loot, purchasing them in sect markets, or as rewards for various tasks.
After obtaining techniques, players can further refine them in corresponding sect buildings to further enhance their effectiveness.

We plan to update the pathway system and some technique acquisitions in the March version; the remaining content will be gradually released in subsequent updates, so please stay tuned~

Added descriptions of Buff effects in skill tips.
Temporarily added a feature to remove characters from the lineup. Characters can be removed by placing them back in the same position in the lineup.
【Bug Fixes】

Fixed drop rates for blueprints.
Resolved issues with accessing map information screens in certain situations.
Fixed a bug where the backpack wouldn't refresh after quick-selling equipment.
Corrected equipment name display errors.
Fixed an issue where the Hall of Heroes wouldn't refresh characters of blue or higher rarity.
Resolved a bug where skills labeled as "locked" for characters still functioned in combat.
Fixed display errors for swordsman skill groups.
Fixed issues where some quests or dialogue sequences wouldn't trigger properly.
Corrected visual effects errors and issues with unsuccessful creations.
Fixed incorrect information prompts for "Lord's Battle."
