A brand new update for Animal Shelter 2 is now live! 🎉
We’ve been listening closely to your feedback, and this patch brings a bunch of fixes and improvements to make your experience smoother and even more enjoyable.

🛠️Patch notes:

• Multiple multiplayer (co-op) optimizations for smoother co-op gameplay and to decrease the likelihood that internet issues will affect gameplay
  
• Item sorting in the shop should be much better now
  
• Map tasks will spawn correctly when Disable Missions option is enabled
  
• Fixed a multiple shelter visual issues that may appear after loading a save file
  
• Fixed a multiple shelter visual issues that may appear after joining other player's game
  
• Fixed errors that sometime could occur during adopter being interviewed about their home conditions
  
• Fixed furniture incorrectly counting towards tasks in one of the quests
  
• Fixed items sometimes disappearing when scrolling quick access item bar when making photos
  
• Fixed loading 'Fully heal the pet' task when the game was saved between pet's disease being cured and it's health statistic having recovered to 100%
  
• Fixed photo preview scaling with non-standard aspect ratios photos
  
• Fixed some more cloth clipping issues on human models
  
• Fixed player interaction with rubble not working correctly in one of the quest's tasks
  
• Fixed cat position on the tree in one of interventions
  

Known Issues ❗
We’re aware of the following issues and are already working on improvements:

• Snow is currently non-interactive. This means you can’t shovel it off the sidewalks. Don't worry though, it shouldn't affect gameplay ☃️
  
• Rapidly picking up and dropping items (by spamming RMB) can occasionally cause them to fall through the ground. Please try to avoid this for now

[h3]Thank you for such a warm welcome to our game Animal Shelter 2, your engagement truly means a lot to us 💛[/h3]

Since the game's release, we have already made the first updates to improve your gameplay 🛠️, but we also see that some of you are reporting issues with our CO-OP mode in the game.

In our game, we use solutions provided by Steam, which means that every player who opens the game session becomes the Host and uses their own internet connection.

[h3]In practice, this means that the quality of the Host’s internet connection will determine the quality of the game for all players in that session 🌐[/h3]

What does this mean in practice?

You can check your internet, for example, by using the analysis tool available at speedtest.net. The result will look like this:

• If the Ping (also known as latency) is 100 or lower, it’s fine ✅
  
• But if the Ping is 200 or higher, symptoms of desynchronization with other players may appear - as you’ve reported (issues with delays, opening doors, inability to perform actions in the game).
  
• With a Ping over 300, gameplay can become very difficult ❌

You also need to remember that your distance from other players matters too![/h3]
If the Atlantic Ocean separates you from the game Host, the game may be less enjoyable than the Ping alone would suggest 🌍


We are currently working on fixes to the game that will make it easier for you to identify when something is wrong with the internet connection. 🔧

[h3]First of all, the whole team would like to thank all of you 🫵 every single player who played Animal Shelter 2 and those who left us their feedback, which was invaluable in improving the game - thank you. 🤝[/h3]

Over 24 hours after the official premiere, we are coming to you with the first update! ✅

Based on the information and feedback you sent us, we rolled up our sleeves and below you can find a list of changes and improvements to the game. ☺️

[h3]Changelog for Patch 1.0.17 👇[/h3]

• Added disabling of flashing effects setting (currently turns off lighting strikes and camera flash).
  
• Pets in main menu will again follow cursor with their heads
  
• Displaying '+' near bonus factors of adoption summary to make it more clear that this value is added to the final result.
  
• You can now take stool sample from litterbox. The last pet that used the litterbox will be shown in tooltip when hovering over litterbox.
  
• Pets requiring stool diagnosis will now produce it more frequently.
  
• Fix poop sometimes disappearing for no reason while inside shelter. It should only disappear after a while when outside.
  
• Fixed ESC key exiting settings window while rebinding keys. This sometimes resulted in settings window being blocked.
  
• Fixed saving keybindings.
  
• Added canceling of rebinding.
  
• Fixed rebinding keys like jump and crouch for keyboard.
  
• Fixed unlocking all the content after disabling quests.
  
• Fixed invisible van during driving out of the garage.
  
• Fixed loading of the adopter leaving the shelter with the first pet.
  
• Fixed snow on sidewalk not being interactable in some cases while sidewalk was fully covered by the snow.
  
• Fixed some of the snow on sidewalk not being correctly cleaned up.
  
• Fixed persistent shoveling sound after worker finished clearing away the snow.
  
• Fixed gamepad gameplay sensitivity setting not working correctly.
  
• Fixed cage walls that were blocking pet's senses.
  
• Fixed user report description not allowing multiple lines of report.
  
• Fixed item disappearing issues while near dog and cat cages.
  
• Fixed Bengal's head rotation limits.
  
• Fixed hanging clock collider.
  
• Fixed pet status card on cages being really dark during night hours.
  
• Fixed cat sometimes levitating while being on the cat walks in cat cages.
  
• Fixed human models boots clipping.
  
• Tweaked sound for sample analyzer.
  
• Minor fixes regarding placement of some 3D objects.
  
• Fixed muzzles tooltip saying "Available in full version!" in early game, while playing full version.
