We are back with the results you’ve been waiting for! It’s been a tough contest with lots of participants who showcased their ingenuity, sense of humor or other qualities displayed in their comments. 💬

Another round of fixes!
- Fixed infinite loop that sometimes caused crash on clients (during co-op play)
- Fixed map pins' saving
- Small (but important) fixes to: car manager, lobby list, and few other sub-systems
- Pet should no longer move when its object is partially inactive
- Implemented better logging solution
- Fixed tooltips for washing animals
- Calendar has been moved to decorations

General improvements:
- Improved NPC's facial expressions
- Vsync no longer gets disabled on low graphics settings
- Pets are now released from the leash upon putting them on the ground
- Fixed warnings for pet needs not disappearing properly
- Fixed soft locks that happened sometimes while putting animals on the ground
- Fixed saving and loading slider values in game settings
- Fixed default game settings
- Added few missing translations

Multiplayer (co-op):
- Added passwords for lobbies
- Lobbies can be now set to: hidden, friends only, global
- Improved refreshing lobbies
- Lobbies in the global lobby list should disappear properly after host exits their game
- Patting animals should be fully synchronized now
- ...as well as washing animals
- ...aaaand the same for notifications
- Fixed animals disappearing on clients
- Fixed assigning pets to their cage on clients
- Fixed placing animals on a washing station on clients
- Fixed car icon synchronization on clients
- Fixed synchronization of map icons on clients

Today as we promised we’ll discuss the adoption process in more detail. 📝 In Animal Shelter 1 the adoption process was fairly simple and followed two basic criteria:

-the animal had to have it’s needs satisfied
-you should pick the person whose living conditions and preferences of the animal’s behavior and features matched those of the animal looking for new home

Each animal had approximately the same number of potential owners and your job was to pick the perfect match. 👍

[h3]Animal Shelter 2 went a few steps further. Making the entire adoption process more developed.[/h3]


📷 It all begins with a photo, just like in Animal Shelter 1 but unlike the part 1, this time the picture matters. Cute, cool looking pictures will receive an additional bonus to the adoption announcement’s effectiveness. On top of that, in Animal Shelter 2 your animals will be able to wear cute clothes in the entire shelter, not just in the photo booth. 😻

🐶 The overall status of the animal looking for adoption will keep playing a vital part in finding potential owners. A well-fed, healthy and happy animal will have an easier time finding more people interested in taking that cutie home.

Perks and features. This is the most important aspect influencing the adoption speed. Just like in real life, younger animals are more likely to find new homes than their older pals. This will become one of the main adoption challenges as animals in Animal Shelter 2 come in all spectrums of age. Will you be able to find your seniors carrying owners?

Perks on the other hand will help to make every animal truly unique, giving your pupils additional features of character. There will be all sort of perks but here are a few examples of what to expect:

Joyfull- happily greets the player, this exuberant animal will often want to play

Clingy- very often comes to the player and follows him around, extremely social

Calm- bonds easier, this animal has easier time finding new home

Other kind of perks will emphasize the overall status of the animal. A good example of such perks would be:

Elderly- This animal has some years under the belt which is evident looking at its fur. It gets tired quicker and has a harder time looking for a new home.

Youngster- cute, enquiring and easily likable. Those animals will be more likely to get adopted quickly.

There will also be some perks referring to animal’s illnesses, which will make taking care of the animal harder. Essentially making them less interesting targets for adoption.

📣 If you feel like your adoption announcement needs some help, Animal Shelter 2 provides you with additional tools aiming to increase the amount of people interested in adoption. Additional text in the announcement, extra effective range, or even advertisement in the radio are at your disposal but don’t forget that each of them will require additional funds. Another feature which impacts the announcements’ visibility are the events happening on map but this is a topic for another devlog!
