We’d like to inform you that it’s the last chance to take part in the on-going Animal Shelter 2 Playtest before it’s concluded. ⏳

[h3]That’s why all of you who still haven’t taken part but would like to have a foretaste of what’s to come in the future, you still have a few days left because on March 22nd at 1PM CET we finish the Playtest! 📅[/h3]

To join the Playtest, all you have to do is to visit game’s 👉 main page 👈 on Steam and press the green button Request Access! It’s that simple. 🙂

Welcome back to the new devlog from our Shelter! We’re excited to be able to see you again and today, we’d like to show you a tool which some of you may already know from Animal Shelter 1- the tablet. 🖥️ In Animal Shelter 2, on top of the well-known functions there will be some novelties so let’s take a look at it’s functionalities, shall we?

[h3]Map 🗺️[/h3]
This functionality will have significant, not to say fundamental importance during your gameplay because using it will allow you to pick up animals which will end up in your shelters. 🐶 You’ll be able to either remotely send a car or even go personally to find the place this animal got stuck in and rescue it! 🤩


[h3]Shelter managing 👉[/h3]
In the previous part, the building function was in a different game level than a tablet. Currently, we’ve implemented this system in the tablet to make developing your shelters easier. 👍 This tab will allow you to inspect the condition of each individual room (are there any trash to take out, is it decorated well, etc.). On top of that, it’ll allow you to buy/sell/move cages, manage your employees and even change the name of your shelter! 👱


[h3]Animal list 📝[/h3]
List of all animals currently living in the shelter and information about each of them. This system will be a familiar tab for all Animal Shelter 1 players but with a new, refreshed graphics. 🙂


[h3]Shop 💰[/h3]
Also, a well-known tab, in which you’ll operate all the shopping activities! 💲 Purchase everything your shelter might need to function properly. Keep in mind that more items will be available as you progress with your shelter!


[h3]Image gallery 🖼️[/h3]
A tab where all the pictures of your cute animals will be stored! ❤️‍ Use them well to create incredible adoption announcements that will catch the future owners attention!


[h3]Camera 📷[/h3]

That’s right! In Animal Shelter 2 the camera is a function of your tablet! 🔥 This will free an extra space in your inventory and make the tablet an even more helpful and versatile accessory! 💪

[h3]History of notifications ❗[/h3]
In this tab, you’ll be able to check all the notifications in case you don’t remember if you’ve tended to all the important events in your shelter! 📝

[h3]Reputation and shelter ranking 🥇[/h3]
Check the popularity of your shelter and earn prizes as you rise in the rankings! 🤩

[h3]Additional functions 🖌️[/h3]
On top of all those important functions you’ll have a few small perks:
-change wallpaper to make the tablet look the way you like,
-quotes, a word of wisdom for every day on the job,
-clock,
-control the in-game music- radio stations from AS1 and AS2.

We’re thrilled to welcome you to the 2nd devlog from Animal Shelter 2! Today, we’d like to talk about another feature which was frequently mentioned and asked for and it’s the ☀️ day&night 🌑 cycle. As we’ve already explained, due to the limitations of the game’s code, we weren’t able to implement this feature before but with the Animal Shelter 2 that’s not an issue anymore.


[h3]Today, we’ll explain this system in more detail and give you examples of its impact on other in-game mechanics! 🔥 We’ve got a lot to talk about so let’s take a look, shall we?[/h3]

[h3]👱 Employees[/h3]
As we’ve already announced, the game will offer you a possibility to hire workers helping you to take care of daily activities at your shelter. Their help is available only during the day because when the shift is over, they’re heading home to have some rest and prepare for the following day! 👍

[h3]➕ Curing Animals[/h3]
A change also occurs in the process of tending to sick animals. With the introduction of day and night cycle the time animals need to get well will be slightly longer than in the Animal Shelter 1. On top of that, treatments will require giving medicine every few hours at fixed intervals, once a day etc. in order to help your animals get better. 🐶

[h3]🚶 Adoption[/h3]
This brings us to one more significant change- even if you decide to stay at the shelter for night because of the treatment of a particular animal, before it gets well you’ll not be able to arrange any adoption meetings for this animal before it gets well.

[h3]🐱 Animals[/h3]
Finally, the Animals. Your cute pupils will also not stay indifferent to the passage of time. Because of the fact that during the night the only personnel allowed to stay at the shelter is the owner, the animals will require to be taken care of in the morning. Fill in their food and water bowls, clean up the enclosures and give them some love and affection to shake off the lonely night. Don’t worry, the employees will also come in the morning filled with energy to help you get the place tidied up. 🤩


As you can see, the day&night cycle will affect many different aspects of the game. Starting with the looks of the environment, through the employees' availability to even the mood of the animals at the shelter.
