[h3]For quite some time now, we've been mentioning on our Discord and other platforms that before the full release of Animal Shelter 2, we’d also be updating the Demo version of the game.[/h3]

Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard on this updated version - fixing and improving many elements to make sure you can fully experience the game in its compact Demo form before deciding to purchase the full version! 🛠️✨

On top of that, we’ve added a fun new feature: animals can now be a bit naughty and run away from the washing station! 😅🐕

The full list of changes is quite long, but we’ve narrowed it down to the most important updates:

Patch notes:

• Improved teleportation to and from the park
  
• Fixed occasional input block when picking up animals
  
• Fixed player synchronization during park visits
  
• Fixed occasional broken items in the inventory that blocked interaction
  
• Improved pathfinding for animals and NPCs
  
• Added grass in empty areas
  
• Improved wall painting system
  
• Fixed interaction issues after destroying an item from the player’s inventory
  
• Fixed item offset after interactions (e.g., pouring food into a bowl)
  
• Fixed lingering interaction progress circle
  
• Stabilized multiplayer connection
  
• Improved overall game performance
  
• Fixed sliding NPCs
  
• Improved animals’ reactions to toys
  
• Added feedback when an animal refuses to play
  
• Animals can now misbehave and run away from the washing station
  
• Improved lobby display in the main menu

We encourage all our players to try out the updated Demo again and see how much smoother and more enjoyable the experience has become.

Today is July 11, 2025, which means that yesterday our "My Pet" contest came to an end and that there are only 12 days left until the release of our game, Animal Shelter 2! 🎉[/h3]

We have to admit - the number of submissions, the beautiful stories and photos were absolutely heartwarming and made it really difficult for us to choose just 3 winners.
Some pictures melted our hearts, others made us laugh out loud - we truly wanted everyone to win! 💛



Out of all 116 photos, we selected not only 3 winners, who will receive a poster and an activation key for our game Animal Shelter 2, but we also decided to grant 15 honorable mentions.

ℹ️ VERY IMPORTANT - please ensure you provide us with all the necessary details of the shelter that will allow us to verify it. If it is a small shelter, or they don't have some of the necessary information, please contact them and ask for the details, this will help us verify the shelter.

If you don't have a shelter of your choice, don't worry! You can check out the applications under this post or talk to other members on our Discord and vote together for the ones you choose. 🥰

From the shelters submitted by players, we will select the shelters that players choose most often.

The donation will be made the day before the premiere - July 22, 2025 - and the winners will be announced on the day of the premiere of Animal Shelter 2 - July 23, 2025 - in a separate entry on Steam.
