2025 Season 1 Patch 2 Release Notes [2025.02.03.02]

This is a Patch Release, containing updates, improvements, and fixes for the 2025 Season 1 Release.
Simulation
Anti-Cheat
- The antiquated versions of EasyAntiCheat (Kamu EAC) files have been renamed and relocated in the iRacing file structure to prevent confusion with the currently active and in use Epic Game EasyAntiCheat (EOS) version of Anti-Cheat software.
- Some additional steps have been taken to remove the previous generation of the AntiCheat system used by iRacing (Kamu/EAC).
- - The iRacing Updater will now ask you if you want to uninstall the old Kamu/EAC derivation of EasyAntiCheat, if you happen to still have it installed and it is associated with iRacing (Game 36). If when prompted you choose "No", it won't ask again in the future. Also note that the old Kamu/EAC installer, and our .bat script that uses it, have been moved to a subdirectory, to distinguish it as being "old" and obsolete.

Race Servers
- Made a change to how the scheduler creates Open Practice Sessions.

Race Control
- Fixed an issue where a Lucky Dog driver could be incorrectly forced to give up spots to lapped cars after a delayed green. We now make sure the EOL penalty isn't applied again when entering the "Two to Green" state a second time.
- Consecutive single file restarts is now a value that may be overridden by the admin "!restart" command.
- - The number of laps gap between cautions used by consecutive single file restarts is now admin overridable with: !csf N
- - The default value is 2 laps gap. Acceptable range is 1-10 laps. Setting to 0 will revert to whatever the default setting for the session is (2).
- - Consecutive single file restart behavior will not happen during green-white-checkered laps (GWC), the normal restart type will be used instead.

AI Racing
- AI Drivers have improved their ability to recover from crashes or going off-course during parade laps.

Graphics
- The mip map tossing algorithm has been updated.
- Fixed a compatibility issue with some OpenXR runtime states.
- Fixed an issue for users with 9th and 10th generation Intel CPUs running on Windows 10 who are receiving random Simulator crashes.

Weather
- Fixed an issue where participants joining a Session after it had been initialized could have slightly different track surface water heights in some areas of the track. Differences were minimal, but it could be noticeable when joining an event with a drying track state.

Dynamic Track Model
- For the debris system, adjusted the parameters for vehicle bodies picking up debris, including better accounting for smaller body shapes, pickups being scaled by speed, and implementing a maximum amount of debris for vehicle bodies depending on chassis size.
- For the debris system, improved the ability for debris to adhere and shed from vehicle bodies.
- For the debris system, the algorithms for flinging debris have been updated.
- For the debris system, improved the calculations for generating gravel dust by tires.
- For the debris system, normalized the color for gravel dust to improve its overall tone in all environments.

- Fixed an issue where AI Vehicles could lose the ability to support MGUK-only driving if the host leaves the Session.

Audio
- Support has been added to XAudio to allow single channel audio hardware, including many Bluetooth headsets.
- The number of sounds that can be loaded by the Simulation has been increased. This provides greater support for third-party sound packs.
- Fixed an issue where the volume selected via the user interface was not being saved to the "app.ini" file.

Pit Lane
- Auto Fuel will not enable itself if a pitstop is in progress. This fixes an issue where it was briefly enabling itself and modifying fuel fill values during driver swaps in team racing.

Spotter/Crew Chief
- The Italian Spotter Pack for Renzo A. Olivieri has been updated.
- Fixed a grammatical error with the spotter message for having major engine power loss.

Active Reset
- Fixed an error in the way detached car parts were being tracked while resetting. Hanging and detached car parts should now be restored correctly to their saved state.

Cars

BMW M2 CSR
- Fixed an issue with the reflectivity of the rollbar and digital display.

Ferrari 499P
- Fixed an issue where reverse wheelspin under braking was incorrectly causing electrical energy regeneration when a single wheel locks up. This fix does not lessen how punishing wheel lockups are, particularly in the wet, but does prevent the motor generator from driving the wheels in the reverse direction.

Ligier JS P320
- For the damage model, the nose hull has been stiffened slightly to prevent submarining on contact.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR
- For the damage model, adjusted the scrape damage progression thresholds for parts of the rear.
