Witchspire Familiar Reveal #1 - ROCKLINGS

[p]Tracing the origins of the Rocklings is a tricky task. Not due to any lack of historical evidence; there’s plenty. Rather because it’s hard to know which accounts are trustworthy. If you’ve never encountered one of them, the idea that a stone had come to life and was acting curious might sound odd.[/p][p][/p][p]At any rate, for as long as there have been stories, there have been Rocklings. Or Shardlings. Or Charlings... And a dozen more similar looking creatures that even the most studied historian would struggle to keep track of.[/p][p][/p][p]They’re everywhere, and mostly harmless. Although they’ve been known to let their curiosity get the better of them (and those around them) on many, many occasions.[/p][p][/p][p]“A day spent following a Rockling could be mediocre, or the adventure of a lifetime. Who knows why they do the things they do? Perhaps they’re utterly stupid, or perhaps. Just perhaps… the most brilliant geniuses of the worlds.” - Gaela Pinegrove, founder of the Wildroots[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Rocklings are generally quite aloof and cautious, particularly when encountered alone. Catch them in a group though, and it’s almost as if they’ve no concern in the world. To the untrained eye they might appear aggressive - and they’ll hurt you if you’re not careful, make no mistake. But they don’t act from malice. They’re simply unaware of the consequences of their actions. And curious to a fault.[/p][p]
