Play Outbound TOGETHER!

We are incredibly happy to announce that we decided to add co-op multiplayer to our game Outbound! Co-op has been requested many times by our amazing community and we also think that it will be a great addition to the game.

We spent the last couple of months evaluating different technologies and implemented a prototype of multiplayer into the current version of the game to test it. The results were very promising, so we are now confident enough to officially announce this feature!

In Outbound you will be able to share a vehicle with up to 4 players (you plus up to 3 of your friends). As Multiplayer will work via network and invitation code. This means that as a base, the host can create an invitation code that can be shared with friends. No third party account will need to be created. We find this incredibly important since we don't appreciate using third party services ourselves as players.

We are currently evaluating if lobbies and playing with 'strangers' is something that players would enjoy or expect from our game. Please feel free to let us know with whom you will play Outbound!

Important! We are still developing Outbound for the best possible experience as a single player game! We will make sure that you are be able to enjoy the game as much alone, as you would enjoy it with friends.

Outbound is currently live on Kickstarter! Back it to receive Alpha access and help us test this new feature!

Off-grid caravan sim Outbound looks like a cute way to pretend I could live like that

I love the idea of cosy living, which is why it was that Tiny Living update that dragged me back into The Sims 4 for a few years there. The issue of course, is that in real life, if forced to live in a space the size of the interior of a camper van, I would pile things on every surface within about 12 hours. Chaos would reign. I would hate it. But I don't hate the idea of it, which is why i enjoy things like Outbound, which is a game about living in a camper van.
