Minor Fixes

Endless Mode

[p]The latest update includes Endless mode, as well as a Journal, which allows you to play the days that Faith lives through in Hell. The journal is  meant to provide a structure for people who don't want to set up their own custom runs.

  • [p]Procedurally generated enemies no longer have certain unfair or unwinnable constellations[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Shield: Reduces incoming damage by 50%. Stack halves when hit.[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Weak: Reduces ATK by 30%. Stack halves when hit.[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Regeneration: Heals for 30% of max. HP.  Stack halves when hit.[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Vulnerable: Increases incoming damage by 50%. Stack halves when hit.[/p]
  • [p]Nerfed Healingbound: Increases lacrima values by total times any creature was healed this fight[/p]
  • [p]Charm now lasts a total of 3 turns, no matter if it is re-added while being charmed (just like Doom)[/p]

  • [p]Order of card descriptions is now the same order as cards on text, i.e. modifiers -> triggers -> actions -> target modifiers[/p]
  • [p]Changed colors on keywords for card descriptions[/p]
  • [p]When selecting lacrima rewards, the confirm button is now above lacrima[/p]
  • [p]Options such as resolution settings will not get synced in Steam Cloud anymore between devices (these are usually unique to each device)[/p]
  • [p]Gamespeed is now 50% by default[/p]
  • [p]First run is now more handcrafted to improve onboarding[/p]
  • [p]Changed tip about "damage to Faith"[/p]
  • [p]Graveyard icons are now always shown, even outside of battles[/p]

Translation Update

This update introduces Russian and German translations, includes balance changes, and adds several quality of life improvements.

[h3]Additions[/h3]
  • Added German translation

  • Added icon for Exile next to graveyard icon (only shows when you have exiled creatures)
  • Added "Quick Remove" button for lacrima (backpack icon that appears when clicking on an equipped lacrima)
  • Added "Quick Equip" option when clicking on empty card slots
  • Added "Clear Cards" button in inventory to quickly remove lacrima from all cards
  • Added confirmation button for lacrima/blessing/card rewards
  • Added new option to enable/disable confirmations (Options > General)
  • Added new effect for card rewards (similar to lacrima rewards)
  • Added card notificiation for whenever a status effect runs out or gets removed
  • Added support for ultrawidescreen, 16:10, 4:3, and other resolutions

[h3]Gameplay Adjustments[/h3]
  • Adjusted boss fights: Chapter 1 and 2 boss fights always have 3 lanes, chapter 3 boss fight always has 5 lanes (thanks PersistentDreamer)
  • Valefar: Changed "Steal Lacrima" to "Fracture"
  • Amdusias: Removed "Magic Ward" from Chapter 1
  • Demons now face up when spawned on enemy side during player's turn (i.e. after casting a spell)
  • Exhumed enemies no longer get revealed when they are exhumed during the attack phase (thanks Qwerty)
  • Curses/Blessings can no longer get overcharged outside of combat (thanks Qwerty)
  • Parasite now always starts with 2 on success; each success adds another 2
  • Generated enemies no longer receive Heal if they already have Reinforced Shield / Magic Ward
  • Gravedigger: Added 1 spell with Exhume to deck from the start (thanks Kool8987)
  • Turned GlassCannon into a modifier (= purple lacrima)
  • Reworked Deathblow: Deals damage equal to Bleed stacks and removes Bleed. Activation success: If 5 or more Bleed stacks got removed, destroy non-boss creature.
  • TargetAll/Enemies/Allies effects now reduce lacrima values by 50% (thanks Arifmeticus)

[h3]UI/UX Adjustments[/h3]
  • Deckbound, Healingbound, Discardbound, and Despairbound now show relevant numbers in descriptions
  • Removed "Mugged" trigger
  • Added Button decorations to small "1-space" buttons (i.e. inventory arrows)
  • Pressing left on lacrima in satchel always goes to cards (same for Altar of Tears)
  • Description for the "End turn" button is now always shown during first fight and whole first run
  • Rest sequence now fades in/out instead of panning up/down (reduces motion sickness)
  • Made shop music a bit quieter (thanks Pablo Murphy)

Altar of Tears


This update adds a new event called Altar of Tears and includes changes to decks, balance, blessings, curses, bosses, map generation, and more.

[h3]Additions:[/h3]
  • Added new map event "Altar of Tears", which lets you combine lacrima
  • Added "Lacrima Pack" option in Shop
  • Added choices to Rest event
  • Added creature/demon art by vil
  • Added unique named enemies that appear in regular fights
  • Added new animation and music when winning a run
  • Added new shop music
  • Added 3 player profiles instead of the "Reset" button in collection (thanks Pablo Murphy)
  • Added highscore for deck selection and winning a run
  • Added sound when getting a new curse

[h3]Gameplay:[/h3]
  • Bloodsucker deck has been changed (total revamp)
  • Mercenary deck has been changed (replaced Capture with Recruit)
  • Fight rewards no longer depend on enemy lacrima
  • Reduced icons on map tiles to 3 to make runs a bit faster (thanks Marc / PepperHeadGaming)
  • There are now only unique symbols on map tiles
  • Adjacent map tiles should no longer contain the same events
  • Unknown now has a lower chance to be a regular fight
  • Increased chance of fights having at least 3 lanes and 3 enemies starting in chapter 2
  • Card upgrades in Study are now capped by chapter
  • Cards with 5 slots now only appear in chapter 3 (shops and treasure chests)
  • Reduced maximum despair from 67 to 58
  • Reworked blessings, curses, and bosses
  • Replaced Capture with Exile: Exiles target non-boss creature
  • Replaced Steal Lacrima with Fracture %: Disables one random lacrima slot of target creature
  • Replaced Permadeath with Obliterate: When this creature kills a target with physical damage, exile target
  • Renamed Anima to Grudge
  • Renamed Sacrilege to Pray
  • Renamed Hemorrhage to Rip
  • Renamed Steal Gold to Mug
  • Creature score now includes total damage done
  • Removed several triggers (i.e. OnGlassCannon)

  • Ally Debuffed and Ally Buff can now only be triggered by allies of the card, not the card carrying the trigger itself (same as Ally Attack, and Ally Death) (thanks Blankity)

  • Cards in collection are now shown twice as big
  • Clicking on an empty space on the board deselects current card
  • Card rotation now resets when dragging it away from hand and letting go
  • Made sure resolution is set correctly on Steam Deck

  • Fixed Doomed always resetting to 3 turns when re-applied
  • Fixed atonement details not going away after moving the mouse away

  • Fixed redraw info not disappearing when pressing the redraw button
  • Fixed error when playing a creature which causes full despair and destroy the creature that you'd want to replace
  • Fixed some cases where pressing end turn would not be queued correctly, i.e. while long trigger chains are being resolved
  • Fixed bosses showing random decoration
  • Fixed minions mixing defence and offence lacrima for "target newest enemy"
  • Fixed bug where buying a card from shop re-appears after restarting the game
  • Fixed card tooltips not disappearing when destroying a card with a spell
  • Fixed menu error when playing a spell caused enemies to exhume cards
  • Fixed softlocks when getting despair outside fights (mainly for Mercenary)
  • Fixed case when stealing gold from your own creatures (i.e. with a spell)
  • Fixed edge case where OnDeath trigger would cause a chain reaction and the card would get killed again
  • Fixed being able to still play a selected card if it was already discarded
