GODBREAKERS UPDATE 1.2 IS OUT NOW

[p]Hey everyone! Today, we are releasing a new update for Godbreakers! [/p][p]Currently, the team is focused and working hard on Update 2, but in between Update 1 and 2, we wanted to release a smaller patch to add some balancing fixes, improve some of the weaker Archetype abilities, make adjustments to some fragments and the economy, as well as fix several bugs. [/p][p]For the Archetype abilities, we didn't want to be too crazy and completely overhaul them right now because we think most of them are in a good spot, but just need some tweaking. We may revisit some of them in the future if they require further work. We have mostly tweaked duration, damage, and size for now, but we will continue to monitor these as we progress. [/p][p]Also, for this update, we haven’t touched the bosses because we believe their damage and health are in a good spot after Update 1, and most new players find the bosses to be a good challenge for them. One boss we did address was Monad; we increased the speed of each explosion when a phase shift occurs. For phases 2 and 3, you will see it run a bit faster than before, and it has also been tweaked to summon the aspects of the other Hylarians. [/p][p][/p][h2]BALANCING, STABILITY & IMPROVEMENTS[/h2][p][/p][h3]Monad Fight[/h3]
  • [p]The duration between each explosion in the “Collapsing Star” move has been shortened.  [/p]
  • [p]The Cooldown for the Summon Aspects ability has been adjusted.

  • [p]The amount of Dust currency dropping in each biome has been decreased.[/p]

  • [p]The amount of Ballistica kills needed to unlock the Reaper Archetype has been increased. [/p]
  • [p]The amount of Backstabs needed to unlock the Twin Blade Archetype has been increased.[/p]

  • [p]The Vitalizing Havoc Tangle’s effect has been increased from 10% to 20%.

  • [p]The Shell Shield cooldown has been increased from 30 sec to 35 sec. [/p]
  • [p]The range for the Godbreak Shield’s trait, Erosive Emissions, has been increased from 3m to 5m.[/p]
  • [p]The chance of getting back Source-Light from Prismatic Discharge has been increased.[/p]

  • [p]The Primary Attack damage decrease from Direct Approach has been lowered from 30% to 25%.  [/p][p] [/p]

  • [p]The damage of the Reaper’s Sentinel Meteor ability has been increased.[/p]
  • [p]The damage from the Reaper’s Sentinel Meteor now counts as Explosive Damage.[/p]
  • [p]The radius of the Striker’s Berserker Totem ability has been increased. [/p]
  • [p]The radius of the Duelist’s Sanctuary Zone ability has increased. [/p]
  • [p]The radius and damage of the Twin Blade’s Blade Nova ability have increased.[/p]

  • [p]Fixed some issues with some fragment abilities having a higher chance to proc than what was stated in their description. [/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue with the Twin Blade’s trait to give the player increased crit chance if the Assassin's Guild ability is active.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players are not rewarded with the Star Seed Material when completing the Heliocentric Challenge in co-op. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash when killing Sabboath with Reflect damage.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crossplay error between Epic and Steam, previously preventing some players from playing between the platforms.[/p]

Godbreakers First Update + The Halloween Supporter Pack

[p][/p][h3]Today we launch our first free update for Godbreakers, as well as a Halloween themed DLC in time for the spooky season. [/h3][p][/p][p]The free update adds six new challenges that unlock brand-new cosmetics, which combine to create a fun beekeeper style outfit, an astronaut outfit and a hockey outfit. Two new Tangles: Chronic Collapse, making you stumble when your stamina is depleted, and Displaced, which teleports you in a random direction when you take direct damage. 12 new rooms have also been added throughout the game, giving more variety to biomes and a host of balances and improvements have been introduced as well! The Road Ahead for Godbreakers

We want to address a few of the bigger feedback points that have been coming up: Content, matchmaking and difficulty. Including sharing more information about our roadmap.[/p][p]
Again, thank you for the feedback coming in from all channels. This helps us prioritise our efforts towards providing future updates to the game. 
[/p][p][/p][h3]Content[/h3][p]The goal for us has always been to deliver a tight, polished and well balanced game. Each new content update goes under the same kind of scrutiny as we’ve done for the game. This is to maintain the same level of quality you, our players, enjoy so much.[/p][p][/p][p]In the near future, we aim to add new content in the areas of archetypes, new game mode, endgame modifiers (Tangles), and more. We are starting off with a few minor updates and then one larger update, trailing up to the end of the year. This so we can address immediate stability and balancing feedback while also adding features that add more exploration and help you play together. [/p][p][/p][h3]Difficulty[/h3][p]Congratulations to all the players who have defeated the Monad! We’re continually impressed by the skill and dedication of our community. Some of you reached this milestone sooner than we anticipated, so we’ll be making some adjustments to the bosses and a few fragments to better balance the challenge. These changes will increase the overall difficulty level. We hope you’ll enjoy taking on these new challenges, and we encourage everyone to experience the true ending. A possible solution we are exploring would be a server browser where you all can host and join public rooms from within the game! This enables you to easily find others to play co-op with. We are investigating the right solution to offer the best experience for Godbreakers - a solution where you can join any player out there, browse, and find specific hosts that are tackling particular challenges. [/p][p][/p][p]We are hoping to have this out to you by the end of this year, and we’ll provide more information in the future. This update will for example adjust the strength of Tangles, and some Archetype Abilities. We’ll adjust economy drop rates and rebalance a few bosses' behaviour and cooldowns. This requires more testing and balancing and will take a bit more time. We will provide more information on this update as soon as we are confident that the update is upholding the level of quality we aim to maintain.  [/p][p]   [/p][h3]Looking towards the end of the year.[/h3][p]Update 2 is shaping up to be our largest one, and something we’d like to close out the year with. We are aiming to make it easier for players to find co-op partners and to provide more content in the form of new gameplay features with new unlocks. We believe these additions will broaden the experience for both new and our existing players. If you want a break from Risk of Rain 2, my favorite new roguelike is pretty close and super cheap

I've spent more time playing the best roguelike games than any other genre. Across countless games, ranging from the card-popping satisfaction of Balatro to the fast-paced action of Hades, roguelikes and roguelites keep me hooked like nothing else. So another one is never a bad thing to me. Godbreakers is among the latest, having just launched on October 23, and it delivers melee-based co-op combat with a pinch Risk of Rain 2's style and chaos. It's already available at a nice discount, and there's even a Steam demo if you fancy trying it out first.
