[h2]Hayo Park Managers![/h2][p][/p][p]The Toybox Pack DLC and Update 8 will be available for Planet Coaster 2 on all platforms on December 4th.[/p][p][/p][p]Open your Arts & Crafts kit to create a sprawling city using wooden blocks, paintbrushes and anything you can find in your toybox, as you bring your park to life with the brand-new Toybox Pack. With new scenery, architecture, and a new entertainer, take your creativity to the max! Your guests will also get to enjoy FIVE new attractions, including the Vector - New-Gen Inverting Suspended Coaster and the F&N Thriller - Kid Coaster.[/p][p][/p][p]Update 8 includes the return of the Planet Coaster Festive Theme, which has been given a fresh coat of paint and 'holiday cheer' just in time for the festive season. We've also introduced several new weather options, introducing new challenges for your parks, such as plummeting temperatures that can freeze over your pools, and thunderstorms which put your rides at risk. - [p]Weather is getting a series of improvements and two new weather states in Update 8[/p]
- [p]New Seasonal Weather – Snow[/p]
- [p]Snow will now fall in Temperate and Taiga biomes and settle on surfaces in your park.[/p]
- [p]A new Guest Need has been added to the game: Warmth.[/p]
- [p]In cold conditions guests will have a preference for hot food and drinks, prefer indoor dining and covered benches and become uncomfortable if they are too cold for too long.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will be able to keep their guests warm by adding the new Electrical Heaters scenery objects.[/p]
- [p]Sheltered areas will maintain a level of warmth.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will need to not only keep their parks warm with Heaters but also their Pools to avoid the water freezing over in colder temperatures.[/p]
- [p]Pool Heaters can be added to pools to keep them at the right temperature for your guests. Guests will not enter pools that are too cold or frozen.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers can choose to keep their pools open and warm enough for guests to brave, or close them off during cold snaps to conserve energy and funds.[/p]
- [p]New Heatmaps have been added to show temperatures in the park.[/p]
- [p]New Seasonal Weather – Thunderstorms[/p]
- [p]Thunderstorms are also coming to the game and can appear in all biomes, with an increased chance in a Tropical environment.[/p]
- [p]Lightning can strike rides, generators and water pumps causing them to breakdown.[/p]
- [p]Guests will enter a state of panic if their ride is struck by lightning.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will need to consider closing particular rides during thunderstorms due to potential lightning strikes.[/p]
- [p]Heatmap Changes[/p]
- [p]A new Shade heatmap has been added to the Scenery Heatmaps category.[/p]
- [p]This heatmap will highlight areas of shade that protect against direct sunlight as well as rain and snow.[/p]
- [p]A new Shade heatmap has been added to the Scenery Heatmaps category.[/p]
- [p]A new Temperature heatmap has been added to the Scenery Heatmaps category.[/p]
- [p]This heatmap will show park temperature in addition to highlighting heated areas, heated Pools and enclosed areas of warmth.[/p]
- [p]A new Warmth heatmap has been added to the Guest Experience heatmaps category.[/p]
- [p]This heatmap will indicate individual guests temperatures.[/p]
- [p]A new Dryness heatmap has been added to the Guest Experience heatmaps category.[/p]
- [p]This heatmap tracks the dryness needs that are influenced by Weather.[/p]
- [p]Guests who are in swimwear, in a pool, using a flume or the Wavesim will not be affected by these needs.[/p]
- [p]The Sunburn heatmap from the Guest Experience category has been reworked and is now the Sun Cream heatmap.[/p]
- [p]This heatmap will now show each guests exposure to direct sunlight and highlight guest services where they can purchase Sun Cream.[/p]
- [p]The Needs Cleaning heatmap has been moved from the Scenery category to the Operations category.[/p]
- [p]Notifications[/p]
- [p]Frequency of guest ailment state reports has been increased.[/p]
- [p]New informational reports to inform Park Managers of how to cater to Guests ailments will now appear, for example:[/p]
- [p]Rain: In rain, guests will prefer dining areas that are sheltered, and may choose to buy umbrellas to keep themselves dry.[/p]
- [p]Thunderstorms: Guest will leave pools, and some rides/generators could be hit by lightning which could cause your guests to panic.[/p]
- [p]Sunburn Improvements[/p]
- [p]Guests suncream no longer lasts forever and can now run out. Guests will now buy more suncream as they try to prevent sunburn.[/p]
- [p]Hot & Cold Drink Preferences[/p]
- [p]Guests now have preferences for Hot & Cold food and drinks, depending on weather conditions.[/p]
- [p]Weather Affects On Utilities[/p]
- [p]The effectiveness of Solar Panels will now depend on weather conditions and how much sunlight they are exposed to.[/p]
- [p]Solar Panels in clear sunny conditions will work at 100% efficiency.[/p]
- [p]Solar Panels in overcast or rainy conditions will have their efficiency noticeably reduced.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will need to make sure that Solar Panels are placed in direct sunlight in order for them to generate electricity.[/p]
- [p]Solar Panels obscured from sunlight, such as placed indoors, beneath a shelter, or in a shaded area will not work.[/p]
- [p]New notifications will be displayed if a Solar Panel stops working due to one of the above factors.[/p]
- [p]The effectiveness of Solar Panels will now depend on weather conditions and how much sunlight they are exposed to.[/p]
- [p]New Park Settings[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will now have control over the following game aspects in Sandbox Mode:[/p]
- [p]The ability to toggle off particular weather conditions entirely.[/p]
- [p]Adjust sim effects from weather conditions, such as guests getting wet, rides breaking down during storms, pools freezing in cold weather conditions.[/p]
- [p]Turning off world temperature effects now also influences guests needs for Hot & Cold food and drink, and need for heat sources in cold weather.[/p]
- [p]Turn off Utilities being affected by weather conditions.[/p]
- [p]Turn off Pool temperatures.[/p]
- [p]Park Managers will now have control over the following game aspects in Sandbox Mode:[/p]

- [p]The scale of all Animatronic props can now by customised to further fit your creative desires.[/p]
- [p]Moving Platforms[/p]
- [p]A new moving platform has been added - Moving Platform Spring[/p]
- [p]Management & Economy Improvements[/p]
- [p]Changes to Scenery and Ride Prestige[/p]
- [p]The area of effect of all scenery has been revised slightly to help reduce large spikes or drops in guest moods. All scenery now has an increased radius of effect and decreased strength.[/p]
- [p]Prestige for Flat Rides has been rebalanced to prevent unexpectedly high prestige scores when adding multiple extra ride sequences.[/p]
- [p]To prevent all rides from reaching maximum prestige too easily the maximum prestige bonus a ride can gain is now limited based on its ride type.[/p]
- [p]This will also create more of a distinction in prestige scores between flat rides and rollercoasters.[/p]
- [p]Changes to Scenery and Ride Prestige[/p]
- [p]Changes to Wear Rates & Upkeep Costs[/p]
- [p]Servicing rides, power generators and water pumps will now come at a cost, as well as now repairing the ride's condition to 80%.[/p]
- [p]Rides, power generators and water pumps can still be refurbished to full condition but at an increased cost.[/p]
- [p]Service badges on rides, power generators and water pumps will no longer prevent condition deterioration but will slow down wear rate, creating a greater challenge when maintaining ride condition.[/p]
- [p]The wear rates of all rides, power generators and water pumps have been balanced to account for the above in addition to open rides with no guests now receiving less wear.[/p]
- [p]A rides maintenance tab will now indicate low, average or high wear rate.[/p]
- [p]Changes to Ride Ticket Pricing[/p]
- [p]The cost of ride tickets has been rebalanced to offset the changes to upkeep costs.[/p]
- [p]This will have no effect on players setting custom ride prices.[/p]
- [p]An improved breakdown of a ride's ticket cost can now be found in a ride's info panel from the ticket cost tooltip.[/p]

- [p]Improvements to Guest Needs & Thoughts[/p]
- [p]Guests will now look to leave a pool if they have a pressing need, such as thirst/hunger etc.[/p]
- [p]A delay has been added to guest needs when in queues, pools and rides to reduce guests needs from dropping too low if they are unable to leave an attraction to satisfy a need.[/p]
- [p]Changes to Power & Water Utilities[/p]
- [p]Power/Water capacity and total upkeep has been added to object browser tooltips to aid player decision making when selecting what type of utilities to use.[/p]
- [p]Cost per unit has also been added to the power generator's object browser tooltip.[/p]
- [p]The amount of regional power provided by park entrance gates has been reduced from 120 to 60 to provide more challenge to early stages of the game.[/p]
- [p]Preplaced park entrances will now have each of their power connection nodes connected together by default.[/p]
- [p]Info panels for power generators & water pumps now display condition penalty and effective capacity data to allow for better power/water management.[/p]
- [p]Utilities heatmaps now fully highlight rides and flumes.[/p]
- [p]Power/Water capacity and total upkeep has been added to object browser tooltips to aid player decision making when selecting what type of utilities to use.[/p]

- [p]Upgrades have been added to some of your favourite coasters.[/p]
- [p]Dart Kinetics Looping Coaster and Vector Looping Coaster now have an alternative track with double spines.[/p]
- [p]High Peak Construction's Steel Tracks and Steel Topped coasters now have LSM pieces.[/p]
- [p]Movement Construction Mine Train now has an alternative track without the wooden sleepers.[/p]
- [p]Outamax LSM Raid Coaster now has a chain lift piece that can be set.[/p]

- [p]When in a queue for a ride guests can now also be Excited or Happy based on the rides prestige.[/p]
- [p]If the queue for a ride is too long guest's moods will now become Bored or Unhappy based on how long they've been in the queue.[/p]

- [p]Guests will now become unhappy if they are kicked off of a ride.[/p]
