Demo Update - May 23, 2025

Hello, Ascenders!

This demo update focuses on comprehensive play experience improvements, marking the first steps toward Tech Chip build formation and applying some balance adjustments between avatars!

With the May 23 update, the detailed changes are as follows:


[h3]⚪ New Additions[/h3]

Avatar Tech Chip Mastery System

  • Mastery levels increase through combat experience; reaching certain levels unlocks new Tech Chips.
  • Through this system, all 24 Tech Chips in the “Child of Time” series will be sequentially opened.
  • Tech Chips for builds of other avatars will be added soon—stay tuned for future patches!


Polish Beta Version Added
  • Polish language support in the beta version has been added!
  • Please try it out, and if you spot any awkward phrasing or bugs, report them in the community or on Discord.



[h3]⚪ Balance Changes[/h3]

Skill Balancing

  • Skill damage for the Golden Gunner avatar and the Wind Spear Lancer avatar has been reduced by 20%.
  • The Hyper Skill effect of the Child of Time avatar has been changed from Attack Speed Bonus to Final Damage Bonus.
  • All avatars now have their Hyper Skill charge speed reduced by half.


Item Balancing

  • Drop rates for powerful unique equippable items have been approximately doubled.
  • The chance of item drops when defeating enemies has been increased by about 20%.
  • Conversion costs for items have been reduced by about 40%, and overall success rates have increased.


Other Balancing

  • The attack power values of Tech Chips that trigger attacks have been lowered and now scale with weapon attack power.
  • Some stats have been given maximum/minimum adjustment limits to prevent abnormal play situations.
  • The spawn frequency of special objects randomly placed within stages has been halved.
  • The penalty formula for remaining time has been changed to a cumulative one, reducing cases where one mistake costs a lot of time.



[h3]⚪ Bug Fixes[/h3]

  • Fixed an issue where Tech Chip stats were not properly applied to avatar skills.
  • Fixed an issue where drone range increase effects stacked incorrectly.
  • Resolved an issue where some avatar skill effects would not disappear after use and would accumulate.



[h3]⚪ Quality of Life Improvements[/h3]

  • A letterbox adjustment now automatically applies the appropriate aspect ratio for play across various resolutions.
  • Time Stop activation speed has been increased, reducing unfair situations where you get hit during activation.
  • Color warnings have been added for Tech Chips with significantly negative effects.
  • VFX visibility of Dimensional Portals has been improved.



[h3]⚪ Other Changes[/h3]

  • Added SFX for mounting/dismounting the Time Machine.
  • Adjusted the excessive volume of reward draw sounds.
  • Added SFX output to Hard Mode UI.
  • Added sound effects to save slots and other UI elements.
