Contractville 0.0.9 Update

Hello contractors!


We've fixed a lot of bugs in this update thanks to your bug reports, and we'd like to thank you for your support during our early access period. We hope you'll continue to support us and before we get to the update notes...

Added the ability to sleep on all purchased beds and we removed the existing fixed beds so you can arrange your office room however you like!

[h3]Building Plans with the New System[/h3]
With the new system, you can now easily save and load building plans.
  • Automatically saves every 5 minutes in the background. It also autosaves when you complete the planning. The number of autosaves is limited to 5. Apart from this, manual save feature has been added. The number of manual saves is unlimited.
  • Your saves in Planner are not specific to your world. When you join another world, you can use your previously saved plans.
  • Plans will be parcel size specific. (For example, if it is a small plot plan, you can only see your save when planning on small plots).
  • If you plan a 5-story house and want to use your saved plan while working on a 3-story house, it will load the first 3 floors of the 5 floors on your plan.
You can also share this file with your friends. To find your save files, you can copy this: %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\ContractVille\Saved\SaveGames
Then paste it in the file explorer.
Press enter and the folder with your save files should be opened.




[h2]Bug Fixes Planner and Build[/h2]
  • Staircase Template Issue: Fixed an issue that caused the template to remain active after the stairs were placed. The template will now deactivate as expected.
  • Ground and Upper Floors Issue: Fixed an issue where the upper floors would reset after changes to the ground floor at planner; these floors will now retain their structure.
  • Hotkeys: Fixed the issue that disabled buttons could be accesed by hotkeys at planner.
  • Planner Undo/Redo Fix:
    • If no changes have been made in the planner yet, Undo/Redo buttons have been disabled.
    • When a new change is made, the Redo button becomes disabled.
    • If there are no changes to undo, the Undo button is also disabled.
  • Missing Walls Issue: We've fixed bugs that in some cases caused the walls of built houses to disappear. We've fixed all the issues we've identified so far, but be aware that this problem may persist in different scenarios. We continue to monitor and fix this issue.
  • Interior Wall Placement Error: Fixed a bug where interior walls at planner could be placed with a single click where they shouldn't be.
  • Floor Count Confusion at Planner: Resolved the issue that caused confusion regarding the floor tallies of land properties. Floor counts are now accurately represented.
  • Objective Tracking:
    • The issue that prevented window and door placement objectives from being counted in build missions has been resolved. All objectives will now be tracked correctly.
    • Fixed the issue where tile floor objectives generated in stair areas at build missions
[h2]Physics and Object Improvements[/h2]
  • Moving Object Physics: Fixed an issue where objects would activate their physics when placed under another object. Objects will no longer move.
  • Empty Gas Can Issue: Fixed an issue where interacting with the empty gas canister connected to the generator in the office would cause the player to interact with the gas canister if they were holding another object.

[h2]Character and Animation Updates[/h2]
  • Character Creation Spotlight: A spotlight has been added to the character creation area for better visibility in night scenarios.
  • Female Face Type Fix: Female face types had two options with the same type. One of these options has been removed.
  • Animation Cancellation: When you take plaster from the plaster bucket to the trowel and at the same time turn to the wall and start plastering, the previous animation will be canceled.
  • Barber Chair Animation:
    • Fixed bugs in the barber chair animation. This animation will now run smoothly.
    • Also, it has been prevented that the person setting up the server and the person joining the game can sit at the same time.
    • Getting up from the seat was repeating the animation twice for the participating player. We fixed this.
    • Fixed a bug where the sitting animation isn't playing for the participating player for a large percentage of the time, and when it is, the participating player is siting on the sink instead of the seat.
[h2]Skill Errors[/h2]
  • Demolition Skill Upgrade: Fixed an issue where the Demolition Speed upgrade was not active at some levels. Also fixed an issue where some skill attributes were blank when the skill set was reset.
  • Glass Cleaner Skill: Fixed an issue where the clear area bonus for the glass cleaner skill was not increasing from level 2 to level 3.
  • Unupgradable Skills: Fixed an issue where some skill attributes could not be upgraded after a skill set reset.

[h2]System and Functionality Improvements[/h2]
  1. Sleeping Time: Sleep time now starts at 20:00 instead of 19:42.
  2. Radio System Repair: The radio system has been reorganized to fix various issues, improving overall functionality and stability. The radio now works smoothly.
  3. Cole Building Mission: The tablet mission description will now correctly display “Luxury Points”, which was missing for some furniture.
  4. Skilled Master Achievement: Fixed the issue that was preventing players from earning the "Skilled Master" achievement.
  5. Multiplayer Cargo Placement: Resolved inconsistencies with cargo placement in multiplayer mode, ensuring smoother interactions.
  6. Movement Key Issue: Fixed the issue that caused the player to become stuck moving after pressing movement keys during the loading screen.
  7. Parked Car Trunks: Resolved an issue where trunks were moving parked cars unexpectedly.
  8. Generator Warning: Fixed the issue where the generator was giving a "wrong fuel type" warning when using an empty gasoline canister.
  9. Face Type Button Focus: Fixed an issue in the character creation screen where the camera was moving while hovering over the "face type" button.
  10. Participant Player Night Light Bug: Fixed bugs related to lights not being on when the client joins the game at night. Street lights and some buildings now work properly for the client who joins the game.
  11. Third Person Camera: Fixed camera view issues in third-person mode while driving with an object in the trunk.
  12. Light Switch Interaction Text: Changed the interaction text from "Turn off Light" to "Turn off light" when turning off the lights, ensuring consistency.
  13. Car Fix: Fixed a bug where if the Auto Car Engine option was "On" for the participant, the parking brakes would not release whenever the player got in the car unless the participant pressed the Space button.
  14. Clothing Store Fixes:
    • In the dressing room, the character will now stand where it should.
    • Prevented from being used by two people at the same time.
  15. Light Switch Save System: Fixed the issue where light switch and light connections were not saved with the save system. These connections are now properly saved.
  16. Stuttering Problem: Fixed a bug where pressing the CTRL key would cause the participating player to get stutter while moving.
  17. Motion Sickness Sync: Fixed an out of sync issue between the participating player and the server during wall painting when the Motion Sickness option is enabled for the participating player.
  18. Trash Location Fix: Fixed the location of trash items that spawn underground at the office.

We've been hard at work addressing several bugs and improving gameplay based on your feedback. Here’s what’s been fixed in this update:

[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]

1. Motion Sickness Wall Painting: Resolved an issue where wall paintings were not being counted in single-player mode. Additionally, the grid appearing when loading a saved game has been fixed.
2. Base Management Customizations: Fixed an issue where customizations needed to be purchased twice for the UI to update correctly. Now, one purchase will properly reflect in the UI.
3. Window Cleaning Issue: Resolved a bug where holding the mouse button and switching between dirty windows caused the windows not to be cleaned by either the server or the client.
4. Ottoman (Bedroom Seat) Placement: Corrected the inconsistency in placing the ottoman in the bedroom, ensuring proper placement every time.
5. Exterior Cladding Collision: Addressed the inconsistent collision issues with exterior cladding, making placements more reliable.
6. Stair Placement Issue: Fixed the bug where the stair ghost would disappear and prevent players from placing stairs after saving the game.
7. Joshua Decorate Mission: Fixed an issue where the extract objective was not being counted when the furniture was packaged during Joshua's decorate mission.
8. Notebook Placement: Fixed inconsistencies with notebook placement, ensuring it works as intended.
9. Light Switch Connection Mode: Addressed an issue where interactions were disabled when in light-light switch connection mode.
10. Bathroom Cabinets: Bathroom cabinets are now properly recognized for design points, ensuring they contribute to your overall design score.
11. Generator and Vehicle Bug: Resolved an issue where carrying a generator and walking into a T5 or other vehicles could cause them to bug out and either fly across the map or get stuck under the map.
12. Door Reversal on Save: Fixed a bug where saving or autosaving the game would cause the door of a room to be replaced with its reverse version. The door will now remain in its correct orientation after saving.

Gameplay Improvements

  • Disabled “I’m Stuck” button before the player gets on the bus at the start of the game.

[h2]Player Interactions:[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where only the host could complete painting the wall with motion sickness.
  • Fixed the issue where players could pack items while carrying a box, even if the handcraft skill was not upgraded.
Item and Environment Fixes

  • Fixed the issue that caused lampshades to be packed while the light switch-lampshade connection mode was open.
  • Fixed the issue that prevented some hair types from being dyed.
  • Added some electric system directions.

[h2]Environment Collisions:[/h2]
  • Fixed the storage door collision error at the office.
  • Fixed the issue where the "No Paint" warning appeared incorrectly when breaking plasterboard baseboards.
  • Fixed the issue that prevented breaking baseboards, plasterboard, and floor tiles by holding the button. You can now break them by holding the button.


Gameplay Enhancements


[h2]Office Upgrades:[/h2]
  • Buying the office generator upgrade now unlocks a 1k battery.

[h2]Animations and Effects:[/h2]
  • Improved gameplay by allowing players to apply plaster to the wall without waiting for the plaster picking animation to finish.
  • A VFX now plays over the cabin man when the logistic task is completable, and a notification is sent to all players when the task is ready to be completed.

[h2]Vehicles:[/h2]
  • Increased the top speed of "Lord T3" and "Lord T5" vehicles to improve gameplay.
  • Lord T3 trunk open/close sound audibility distance adjusted.

[h2]Day-Night Cycle:[/h2]
  • Night duration shortened and day duration extended. Sunrise and sunset times changed to 08:00-20:00.


Miscellaneous


[h2]Trash Bags:[/h2]
  • When items are broken, trash bags will now contain a minimum of one piece of trash regardless of the item's price.

[h2]Crashing Reports:[/h2]
  • We added a system to collect data when the game crashes.
  • When it crashes, a send report screen appears.

Hotfix 0.0.7.6

Here is the list of the fixes:
-The crash problem occurring during wall demolition has been fixed.
-The issue with the screws in the windows during demolish tasks has been resolved.
-The visual bug appearing when purchasing paint in the store has been fixed.
-The issue with the glass material of the two windows not changing has been fixed.
-The bug occurring when packaging an item with the lamp switch in connection mode has been fixed.
-Some issues with the stair railing have been fixed.
-The bug in the company image selection screen has been fixed.
-The UI for the company name change screen has been updated, and a fee has been added.
-Fixed nail outline not appearing for new door/windows.
-The light intensity of the ceiling lights has been adjusted.
-The visual bug that appeared when doors were inverted has been fixed.
-Fixed pushing cars while carrying some items.

ContractVille 0.0.7.4 Hotfix

Hi everyone,

ContractVille Update 0.0.7.4 is live now. We worked on bugs looked most annoyingly for this week. We are aware it's not much because we are working hardly on new features for our next Big Update. We will be sharing more info about it soon, stay tuned!

  • Reset button now correctly resets character mesh in the character customization UI.
  • Fixed minor issues related to Motion Sickness Painting.
  • Resolved the bug where clean ground, clean window, and paint wall side goals were not triggered with the motion sickness option enabled.
  • Made localization corrections.
  • Fixed a fatal error that occurred when the client approached the office in a multiplayer game.
  • Solved the issue where the rug did not appear in mission requirements.
  • Fixed the issue where cleaning the ground with the motion sickness option did not count as an objective.
  • Removed some inaccessible trash items in the office.
  • Fixed the issue where furniture was not sold using the "sell all" button.
  • Fixed door opening direction algorithm that cause doors opening on player at office doors.
