Valor of Man Demo: Patch 0.6.1 - Champion Difficulty and More

Hello Wardens,

The Champion difficulty is here! Many of you wanted a tougher challenge, and we've delivered. Knight difficulty will seem like a breeze compared to this, and we can't wait to hear how it goes!

We’ve also revamped the demo, with more variety and easier access to cool abilities. The tutorial is clearer now, and after you defeat the boss, there’s a new cutscene with more story, playful banter, and some unexpected twists.

Once again, we couldn’t have done it without your feedback. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported us; especially content creators and our amazing community.

The free Demo is LIVE! And it comes with major gameplay improvements: Threat Markers and Increased Difficulty.

Threat Markers
Threat Markers appear on the ground for dangerous Reactions, making it easier to control positioning. When planning an attack, you can see where the enemy will move and strike, helping you strategize more effectively.



Increased Difficulty
We heard your feedback and made Knight difficulty tougher! You can now choose your difficulty for each run. On Knight, enemies hit harder and have stronger traits. Squire mode offers a more relaxed experience for those who just want to smash monsters and have fun.

Valor of Man Beta Demo: Patch 0.5.8-90

Hello Wardens,

Here are the latest changes as we approach 10 February when we will launch the Free Demo.
We made the starting heroes a little more special so they are aligned with their philosophy, Theurg has a free heal, Blade Dancer starting weapon has an additional attack with 2 hits, and the Archmage has a new Firebolt spell.

Starting abilities:
- Cleric Theurg Minor Heal now costs 0 action points.
- Rogue starting weapon now has a 2xHit attack.
- New starting ability: Archmage - Firebolt.
- Nerfed Archmage starting weapon: Arcane Dart.

New artifact:
- Burning Bush

UI:
- Added 2x in double-hit attack names.
- Added numpad Enter as an alternative shortcut for end turn and others.
- Improved Impervious and Invulnerable keyword descriptions.
- Recurve Bow cooldown instead of charges per turn

Balance:
- Status Effects (Stun, Immobilised, Terrified etc) no longer stack for multiple turns.
- Toxic Mushroom always applies Fumble when it reacts.
