GTA Online cheat seller shuts down after "discussions" with Take-Two Interactive

Another one of GTA Online's cheat sellers has been shut down. Luna Cheats explains on its website that the decision was taken following talks with Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive.

"After discussions with Take-Two Interactive, we are immediately ceasing all maintenance, development, and distribution of our cheat menu services," the statement reads. "We will also be donating our proceeds to a charity designated by Take-Two. We apologise for any and all problems our software has caused to the Grand Theft Auto Online community."

We checked several third-party sellers, and found that there was no longer any mention of Luna Cheats there, either. While the website is now more or less offline, though, there are still videos online advertising its services. From what we've seen, Luna Cheats' mod menu includes many of the cheats you've likely seen on Reddit. Users could enter god mode, turn invisible, adjust their height, and more. The mod menu also allowed players to grief others by blowing them up, kicking them from the lobby, or launching their vehicle into the sky. Even if you tried to report someone using the mod menu, they could block it and crash your game.

Burnout 3 is getting a remake in GTA 5

If you were a noughties teen, Burnout 3: Takedown likely has a special place in your heart. A Grand Theft Auto 5 player is bringing the classic racing game to a new generation in GTA Online, and they've made a very nostalgic teaser video.

Posted on Reddit, LucasRPDJ's demonstration starts as what seems to be a recreation of Burnout 3's opening cinematic, complete with The F-Ups' 'Lazy Generation', before moving into actual gameplay. The authenticity of the menus, car select, and new song pop-ups is impressive enough, but the driving is remarkably similar, right down to the UI.

That signature chaotic vibe of Burnout is here in force, from the camera angles to the sense of speed. Staying in the mix requires taking down your opponents while maneuvering through traffic, just like Burnout, and all the little details are here, like the onscreen markers that pop up whenever you touch an opponent, and earning boost for being a skilled driver. Being GTA 5, there's plenty of room for outlandish physics, meaning the crashes can be as audacious as ever - keep an eye out for a white sports car doing a cartwheel in the first couple of minutes.

It's reset day in Los Santos, and that can only mean one thing. GTA Online players are dipping into the crime game to see what's new, discounted, and offering the best potential to make money. Rockstar has provided it's own round up on its newswire, but most people choose not to wait as reset happens well before that.

One of the more prominent additions this week is a new car called the Slamtruck. Is it particularly lovely looking? No, not really, but it's a truck that slams and we're all here for it. If you want to add this beast to your garage, you can pick it up from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $1.3 million in-game.

If you're looking to raise some funds for your new Slamtruck, you ought to know that bunker sale missions are offering double rewards. If you're new to those types of tasks, they typically involve picking up and shifting stock for money. It's a good week to get into it as bunkers and bunker renovation are 40% off. Bunker research speed has been doubled, too.

Take-Two Interactive patent could point to a bigger, better world for the next Grand Theft Auto

Large-scale outdoor urban environments, crowded with people and vehicles, are difficult to simulate accurately in videogames—just ask CD Projekt. A huge number of moving parts is required to make the scenes believable, but the more that number goes up, the more likely it is that something, somewhere, is going to go spectacularly haywire...
