GTA Online's weekly update ups the rewards for contact missions

It do be that time of the week. Players have hopped into Los Santos to have a mull around and see what's new in GTA Online's weekly update before Rockstar posts the official notes on the Newswire.

If you're looking to make a quick buck, you'll want to spend some time doing contact missions as cash and experience are doubled for the next week. If you're unsure what those are, they're missions that folk like Lamar Davis, Lester, and Martin Madrazo will ask you to do if you give them a bell. Transform races are also worth doing this week as cash and rewards are triple what they usually are. The selection of race tracks was initially added back in 2017, and are immediately noticeable as they are set in the sky on colourful obstacle courses made up of hamster tubes and stunt ramps - they're fantastic.

What's all of Lester's gold worth, though, if you don't have anywhere to spend it? If you're in a buying mood, you'll be pleased to know that plenty of garages are 40% off. Those include the Casino Penthouse, Arcade, and Nightclub garages. High-end apartments and laser weapons have also received a similar discount, alongside the Kanjo and Sugoi vehicles.

Why would anyone play a cop in GTA 5 RP?

Kylie, who wishes to remain on first name terms, wants to join the police force. Being a cop is a dream she's held since being a child, but one she didn't have the confidence to pursue until roleplaying as one in Grand Theft Auto Online.

"I didn't really think of girls as being cops, and I was always kind of thin and wiry," Kylie admits. "In addition to that, I also have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, so I didn't think it would be manageable or possible to meet my goal. But, after roleplaying as a cop, speaking with other officers, and doing a lot of the beginning process and filling out the physical requirements, I discovered that I can do it."

The version of GTA Online that Kylie plays isn't the standard spectacle of guns, chaos, and high-speed car chases others have come to know. Rather, through the use of various mods, it's a collection of servers that allows players to embody a character through their profession. Some take up the role of journalists, while others fall back into being a criminal.

GTA Online's weekly update ups rewards for Diamond Casino adversary modes

It's going to be a good week to return to some of the activities from GTA Online's Diamond Casino update. Players have begun digging into the weekly update ahead of Rockstar's more official round-up and have found that you'll get double rewards for doing the update's adversary modes.

This week, you'll also get more experience and cash for doing stunt races and special vehicle work. The former is relatively self-explanatory, but the latter refers to missions that are needed to unlock trade prices of vehicles like Ramp Buggy and Ruiner 2000.

There are is the usual bevvy of discounts this week. This time around you can pick up 40% off any executive office, and save 30% on renovating them. There is 25% off of vehicle warehouses, and 40% off cars such as Blazer Aqua, Ramp Buggy, and Phantom Wedge. The GTA 5 podium car has shimmied about this week, too - as it so often does. This time around you're getting the chance to pick up the Brawler. If you're a keen speedster, it looks like the premium race this time around is Art to Art, and the time trial is Great Ocean Highway.

GTA Online players were riding invisible hoverbikes, but no more

GTA Online players do not care for the Oppressor MK 2. If you've been out of the loop, the hoverbike allows players to fly around and fire rockets that can lock on to vehicles. Grand Theft Auto V's online mode is known for the assortment of mayhem that goes on, but the hoverbike still manages to rise above all that due to how annoying it is. You can imagine players' despair, then, when others stumbled across a glitch to make them invisible.

It looks like the glitch has been patched, but the way it worked was fairly straightforward. First, you had to make sure you had an arcade filled with cars. Then, you spawned into a game, booted up the Rockstar Creator, and then forced an error message. If you did this, you could do some fiddling about to make your Oppressor MK II invisible. You'd be stuck in place for a bit, but you could use your booster to break free and fly around.

Only the hoverbike was granted invisibility, and people could still see you, but it all made for rather bizarre viewing. Thankfully, though, it seems that Rockstar has been swift to patch it. Rockstar fly-on-the-wall Tez2 reports that a background update was pushed live to hotfix the issue. We've reached out for comment, and will report if we hear back.
