Check out these wicked helicopter skills in GTA Online

When it comes to flying in GTA Online, I’m only good at heading in one direction –down. I’d consider it an achievement to land a plane without overshooting the runway, or set down a helicopter without catching the rotors in the world geometry and turning the vehicle into a giant frag grenade...

GTA Online weekly update greatly boosts superyacht missions

If you're a crime game fan then you're probably keeping an eye out for the GTA Online weekly update. The latest rotation for the online multiplayer game is here, and we have all of the important details ahead of Rockstar Games posting the official patch notes shortly.

The weekly update for June 2 gets players ready for summer with a huge boost to rewards from the 'A Superyacht Life' mission series - bumping up your in-game cash and reputation points to four times their normal payouts. There's also triple rewards for playing the drop zone adversary mode, and double the usual prize for completing contact missions for shady businessman Martin Madrazo.

If you're after a fresh set of wheels, you can get your hands on the GB200 rally sports car, the GTA Online Prize Ride, by coming in top three in street races for three days in a row. If you'd rather test your luck than your skill, the mighty Infernus Classic sports car is the GTA Online podium car, so give the wheel a quick spin and if you're fortunate enough you can live out your midlife crisis dreams in this supercar inspired by the likes of the Ferrari Testarossa and the Lamborghini Diablo.

GTA Online weekly update boosts VIP work and the Vespucci Job

Another Thursday means another GTA Online weekly update is upon us. The official patch notes from Rockstar Games will appear later today, but the crime game's multiplayer update is live and so we have all the important information for you right here, right now.

This week boosts a whole range of activities, most notably doubling the rewards for VIP work, which can be undertaken while acting as a VIP or CEO of an organisation. Players can earn double the usual in-game cash prize and reputation point boost for taking part in these events. Bodyguards and associates will also receive double the normal salary for signing up to help out a VIP/CEO.

The in-game cash and reputation point rewards are also doubled on a new remix of 'the Vespucci Job,' an Italian Job-inspired adversary mode which pits a player in a compact Issi Classic against a team of police interceptors. The doubled rewards this week also apply to truck off, mobile operations, motorcycle club work and contracts, and the missile base, diamond, and bunker adversary modes.

GTA publisher buys Zynga, a huge mobile studio with 40m daily users

GTA 5 just sold another 5 million copies as GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition fails to stay relevant

Only a few months ago, we heard that the Grand Theft Auto series overall continued to sell like hotcakes: as of February 2022, unit sales for the series topped 370 million, with the latest mainline release – GTA 5 – sales sitting pretty at over 160 million units.

Fast-forward three months, and the game has – somehow – sold even more. During Take-Two Interactive's conference call for Q4 2022, the publisher noted that GTA 5 sold yet another 5 million units over the last three months.

This means that the Grand Theft Auto Series, combined, has now sold 375 million copies across the globe since the last count. When you think about it, doesn't sound too good for the GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, which didn't even make it to 1 million units sold over the last quarter. Chalk that one up to delayed physical editions, horrendous bugs, and missing files.

GTA Online weekly update greatly boosts freemode events

GTA Online fans will know that Thursdays bring with them the GTA Online weekly update, and, while the official update notes from Rockstar are due later today, we've got all the details for you here courtesy of players already jumping in to check out what's going on in the multiplayer crime game.

This week focuses on the freemode events that occur routinely during regular sessions in the world. Players can earn quadruple the usual in-game cash and reputation points for participating in these events. In addition, they'll also be popping up far more frequently, as Rockstar has greatly decreased the freemode events timer - meaning they will now occur every nine minutes instead of the usual 20 minute cooldown period.

Cash and reputation rewards are also doubled for the motor wars adversary mode, which is a fast-paced twist on a GTA Online battle royale. Players drop into an ever-shrinking arena filled with armoured vehicles and heavy weaponry, and battle to be the last team standing as the arena walls slowly close in.
