Early Access Update - v0.331

  • We are conducting test planning and layout for the Steam Workshop (under construction, not yet available).
[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed a bug where music could not loop in certain situations.
  • Fixed an issue where rapid mouse zooming on the strategy map sometimes prevented further zooming.
  • Fixed an issue where certain recipes with two prerequisites could not be researched even though both conditions were met.
  • Fixed a bug where a black screen with the error message "New faction appears a" would sometimes pop up at the end of a turn.
  • Fixed a bug where additional increases or decreases in ability stats were not fully displayed in the emperor's information panel.
  • Fixed a bug where the effects of Tianxiang Qingyuan Pill and Zhenyuan Huoluo Pill would remain after their intended duration.
  • Various other optimizations and bug fixes.

  • Added and adjusted background music tracks in the game.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where the name of a state capital could occasionally appear twice in a memorandum.
  • Fixed a bug where the Emperor’s profile would incorrectly display the "Forgetfulness Elixir" after taking the "Heavenly Fragrance Purifying Elixir."
  • Fixed a strange map glitch where, during an official’s rebellion, a long border area could become the territory of the new power.
  • Fixed a bug where mousing over the "Martial Tradition" in the Statecraft window would reduce the Martial Tradition value.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause newborn princes or princesses to disappear after being named in the Imperial Academy.

[h2]Improving[/h2]
  • Added the ability to sort various official lists by skill.
  • When calculating army protection zones, the range will now be based on the army's movement range, allowing for the protection of a larger area.
  • Reduced the likelihood of consorts, ministers, and princes falling ill. The notification will now specify whether the illness is due to a cold or heat.
  • Improved the fade effect when switching background music and optimized the background music in the strategy map.
  • Partial optimization of some character illustrations.
  • Corrected and improved some text.

  • Implemented the function of setting the number of concubines at the beginning of the game during initial settings. (Effective for new saves.)
  • In the settings panel, the font of quarterly reports can be bolded.

  • Fixed the bug where character portraits become disordered when events occur.
  • Fixed the bug where after army actions on the strategic map, it is impossible to switch to other decrees normally.
  • Fixed a bug where all honorary official tasks may be displayed as "XX marshal".
  • Fixed a bug where a certain operation may lead to unlimited relief.
  • Fixed the bug where the increase in lifespan of concubines after taking Longevity Pills is inconsistent with the actual amount.

  • Improved the soldier count algorithm, reducing the initial additional number of soldiers. The penalty for the number of soldiers in the later stage will also be weakened.

  • Add two new character illustrations.
  • Realize the function of directly switching to other edicts under the strategic map.

  • Fix the bug where the display on the right side of the diplomatic table is abnormal when dispatching special envoys.
  • Fix the bug where the job titles of local officials are displayed incorrectly in some cases.
  • Fix the bug where disaster relief or praying is not performed but it is shown as in progress in some cases.
  • Fix the bug where the game freezes when having a meal with ministers after some pills are used in combination.
  • Fix the bug where the generation of newly born princes does not extend in some cases. (Effective for the next generation).
  • Fix the bug where an error message pops up when returning to the court after exchanging multiple generals during reorganization.

  • Set the character illustrations of Zhen Huan and Xing Zhen as special illustrations. (Effective for new saves).
  • Some UI interfaces under the strategic map.
  • Change the daily summary to regular script to avoid the problem of unclear digital display in previous handwriting style.
  • Reduce the game volume and improve the clarity of in-game videos.
  • And some other detail optimizations and adjustments.

The Emperor and State has now been updated to version 0.313, addressing urgent fixes and optimizations to the war system. If you encounter any bugs or issues in the game, please use the in-game feedback feature or discuss them on our Discord.

  • Fixed a bug where a black screen might appear at the end of the turn when the corruption threshold is set to 0. (Error codes: 47ba, 51f)
  • Fixed a bug where the diligence and loyalty of local officials were not affected by court memorial events.
  • Fixed a bug where the average virtue and gentry-to-commoner ratio did not account for local officials.
  • Completely fixed a bug where the message "territory has an issue" would sometimes pop up.
  • Fixed a bug where right-clicking would freeze the game in certain situations when a prince is born.

  • Implemented the ability to swap army generals during reorganization.
  • Various other minor optimizations.
