Early Access Update - v0.46

The Emperor and State has now been updated to version 0.46. If you encounter any bugs or issues in the game, please use the in-game feedback feature or discuss them on our Discord.

[h2]Improving[/h2]
  • Replaced the old granary efficiency system with an all-new Grain Reserve system:
     1. Percentages have been replaced with specific numerical values;
     2. The Ministry of Revenue now includes [Grain Allocation] and [Tax Grain Settings] functions;
     3. Land tax has been separated from industry tax — it now affects public support and poverty rates, while industry tax no longer affects public support;
     4. Military expeditions are now constrained by supply lines.
  • Improved power consumption calculations on the strategic map to reduce lag in the late game when the map becomes large.
  • Improved the childhood portraits UI for imperial princes.
  • Various minor UI and system refinements.

*As this update involves many systems, some minor oversights may remain — we'll continue refining things in the coming days.

  • Added the possibility for Mods to expand the portrait gallery for consorts.

[h2]Improving[/h2]
  • Improved the algorithm and sorting order for official ranks.
  • Optimized the algorithm for generating new consort portraits to minimize duplicate appearances.
  • In the interface for creating a new consort portrait Mod, images used by named consorts will now have their names annotated in the bottom right corner.
  • Slightly increased the effect of "Radiance of the Maiden" (approximately +20% boost).
  • Added a display showing the children born to a consort in the consort details screen.
  • AI faction general names have been expanded from the original Mongolian and Tibetan styles to include five regional styles: Southwest, Northwest, and Northeast.

  • Fixed multiple instances where dilapidated buildings did not correctly reduce mood when used.
  • Fixed an issue in the tutorial where some steps could become disordered when stamina was too low.
  • Fixed a bug where clicking to sort skills in the Imperial Selection and Dismissal lists had no effect.
  • Fixed an issue where ministers' dialogue did not update in real-time when adjusting military resource allocation via the slider.
  • Fixed a bug where exiting the harem via right-click after opening a consort's introduction could cause the "Summon to Bedchamber" option to become unresponsive upon re-entry.
  • Fixed a loophole where a princess would disappear from her mother's child list in the consort table after marriage.
  • Fixed various minor bugs.

  • Added the option to select your nation's starting location, allowing you to choose from one of the fourteen nations.

  • The strategic map will now center on the current capital instead of always centering on Guangzhou.
  • In the alchemy scene, material movement has been optimized to allow both mouse dragging and clicking.
  • The new imperial era name will now take effect in the second year after a new emperor ascends the throne, rather than immediately.
  • Various other minor Improving and adjustments.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where, if a princess had very low Virtue, the officials’ diligence would decrease into negative values when arranging a marriage. The minimum increase is now 0.
  • Fixed a bug where the objective to conquer Wu’s territory in the story guide had logical errors during completion.
  • Fixed an issue in which choosing to save the child during a consort’s difficult labor displayed incorrect dialogue.
  • Fixed a bug where the era name display in the top-left corner was not updating immediately after a new era name was established.
  • Fixed an issue where, if the emperor passed away after a new era name was established, the next emperor would enact another era change in their second year.
  • Fixed a missing entry for Sun Wu’s skill "Brilliant Stratagem A."
  • Fixed some cases of garbled text in official career records. (This fix applies to newly recorded entries moving forward.)
  • Corrected a bug where the Salt and Iron State Monopoly policy would increase the treasury based on annual income every quarter.
  • Corrected errors in the decree's era name and year in the tutorial story.
  • Fixed various other minor bugs.

  • Added the function to change the reign era, which can be done through the "Change Era" option at the Chancellor.

  • Improved and adjusted the algorithms for morale, armament level, and more, with clearer pop-up notifications.
  • Improvedthe algorithm for bandit incidents, linking the probability with public opinion and stability to avoid situations where a high stability and low public opinion result in no bandit incidents.
  • Improved the explanation for the "Divination" and "Marriage Gifts" options during meals in the help button.
  • Various other minor Improving and adjustments.

  • Fixed a bug where the "Merit-Based Appointment" policy did not increase the civil exam willingness.
  • Fixed a bug where an error code [B43EJacxxx] appeared in certain situations when a territory became independent.
  • Fixed a bug where the three objectives in the tutorial immediately showed as "超时."
  • Fixed a bug where the calculation for palace tranquility was incorrect when there were zero concubines.
  • Fixed a bug where the sacrificial factors affecting auspicious omens would not automatically diminish.
  • Fixed a discrepancy between the actual attribute changes of the prince consort after a marriage gift and the claimed effect.
  • Fixed various other minor bugs.
