Deathless has got official verification—the game is now adapted to SteamDeck! 

Valve has checked the game and approved it: everything works in a stable, comfortable, and beautiful fashion. From UI to controls—every element has been adjusted for the comfort of portable gaming:

• Full compatibility: UI, scale, and text are adjusted to the device screen

What’s new: small UI changes, visual adjustments for SteamDeck, and fixes of known issues.

UI

• Clicking RMB while dragging a card no longer breaks UI
  
• During a foe’s turn, clicking RMB on a foe now opens Bestiary
  
• Removed extra filters in Bestiary
  
• Gorynich. Added a missing intention in Bestiary
  

 
SteamDeck

• Fixed an incorrect UI display after launching the game with low screen resolution
  
• Cards’ description no longer overlaps the field boundaries on the Prestige card selection screen
  
• Fixed the selector for the following cards:
  - Varvara, “Double Down!” card
  - Vasilisa, Memory Lane card
  

 
Fixes

• During the Fatal Blow of a dying foe, the Aim and Strike, Hiding, Rock, and Flay cards’ effect no longer applies to the next foe
  
• Fixed flicking of the opening video with high FPS
  
• Fixed text overlapping the reward skipping check mark
  
• Fixed the reward tooltip width on the reward screen
  
• Fixed text wrapping in the current journey’s difficulty description when enlarged UI is enabled
  
• Fixed shifting of dealt cards to one side after each card transformation
  
• Fixed headline overlapping UI elements on the supply screen before a boss fight when enlarged UI is enabled
  
• Kikimora. Fixed stolen cards’ font size
  
• Wishing Doll relic. Fixed a rare bug that crashed a current journey
  
• Dobrynya. Thrust card. Fixed battle freezing during the vanquishing of Koschey
  
• Magic Crystal relic. Fixed a card transformation screen freezing if there were no base cards
  
• Fixed excessive camera zooming out during the battle with Koschey for some resolutions
  
• A random event with Hoarder. Fixed an incorrect dialogue when choosing a line with giving away Pastry
  

One day, we asked ourselves: “What would Deathless look like if it was a video clip?” To keep it as just a concept would be a regrettable omission. So, that’s how the idea of an animation clip was born: a creation of our team’s meticulous work.

And the song named Tsarevich of the Melnitsa band brought true magic to it. Its music masterly conveyed the atmosphere and became a perfect companion for our visual story.

We are glad to announce that Deathless. The Hero Quest has received a demo!

Now anyone can have a small adventure and try to save Belosvet before purchasing the game. There will be many heroes of Slavic folklore, difficult choices, plot twists, and dangerous enemies.
